I like of how people jump on Berto for fighting smaller fighters, but Cotto is supposed to have a belt at 154 and here he is fighting a guy moving up in weight instead of Angulo who I view as the tougher match up. I know Cotto would probably fight Berto, but will Arum let it happen anyway since he don't get along with Haymon. And how about a Cotto-Martinez fight?

Berto will get destroyed. Other than speed, he has NO advantages in this fight

Cotto went up to 154 to grab a belt in a 3rd division. He has always maintained that he wants the biggest fight he can get whether at 154 or 147. That was not a permanent move up, and to essentially accuse Cotto of ducking Angulo to fight Berto is blasphemy.

First of all, Berto is a better fighter and does more for Cotto's legacy.

Second, Cotto makes WAYYYYYY more money fighting Berto. If it's not on PPV which I think it could be, I can see HBO putting up $4 million for that fight.

I would like a Cotto/Martinez fight as well. Cotto/Berto and Cotto/Martinez are the two fights I would like to see.

You are one of the posters on here who always said you think Berto sucks balls, and now you are gonna give Cotto credit for beating him?

That's exactly how I see it as well. If Cotto is focused and keeps working on his technique then he has this. But Berto is no slouch and is young. To tell you the truth I've never seen a killer instinct in Berto but it might finally come out so Cotto has to be careful. Make this fight happen!!!

Haha sure, ignore everything else in the post that just destroys your point.

I'm one person. I don't think Berto is very good, but most of the boxing world, and more importantly, HBO disagrees with me. Whether or not I think Berto's great doesn't mean **** for how it will impact Cotto's legacy. He's still an undefeated champion held in high regard .

And I think Berto is better than Angulo.

I love how everyone thinks Cotto will win.

He doesnt know how to clinch. Berto is a mauler on the inside and is strong as hell.

He has no defense for uppercuts. Berto has one of the best in the game.

This is not set in stone that Cotto will win.
