Fight should never of happened.
When I 1st heard of it I was Briggs vs green awesome. Then I realised I haven't seen briggs fight in ages, I really forgot but did some research then passed on the fight.
Then when NSW banned the fight here, it should of been called off or a replacement found and match post-poned.

Green only retired cause he didnt want to fight Hugo Garay, his 1st title defence after the Stipe Dews boxing-transaction-debacle. Green shat himslef with the prospect of fighting a guy (Garay) that he couldnt contractually control and one that posed a real threat - so he retired. To his latest scam.... no not Otis Griffin, not the other guy he called out of retirement for a so called WORLD title fight - Sicia, but Briggs. Green was told by the NSW combat association that they wouldn’t support the bout cause of Briggs' health, and then he changed states and threatened legal action as a result of being told that Briggs wasn’t ready for a fight. Now Green says he’s not been informed of Briggs’ conditions before the fight and if he had been he would have called the fight off. That sounds like whn green said he never headbutted Beyer, even though the film shows him doing it. Green contracted that Briggs had no chance of winning by calling him out of retirement for a world title defence & then gave him 6 weeks to prepare and said he had to weigh less than the cruiser weight title suggests. Green has been scamming his fans for years and they have only just woken up. Remember Siaca? Green called him out of retirement for a so called world title fight too. You can do that when you're the promoter , matchmaker and fighter, and the IBO title holder.Comment

Have to agree with all of the comments. The degree of damage caused by this fiasco has made it to the ''INFAMOUS FIGHTS" category and sadly will be long remembered by critics of the sport.I've been a dedicated fan of the sport
since my schooldays....some 55 years and this truly was the worst example ever presented to the public in my memory.I'll always be a fan though and am hopeful the promoters will provide genuine fights in future.PPV promoters also need to examine their cards more thoroughly, but then again as long as they collect their subscription fees I suppose they would show anything.Comment
