didn't everlast create a puncher's glove???
So I am re-watching Diaz vs Marquez 1 and I just realized something.......

You are SERIOUSLY reaching here. Marque picks Diaz apart every time. I don't think the Reyes gloves would have that much of an impact.Juan Diaz being signed to Everlast is actually a negative for Diaz......
He is wearing Everlast GLOVES and trunks....
And I really havent seen him use anything other than Everlast....
Being that he isnt the biggest puncher, but a huge volume puncher, if he was able to use a "punchers" glove like Cleto Reyes, I think that he would be able to break down fighters even more than he already does.....
I think with the amount of punches that he landed on JMM, it PROBABLY could could have changed the tide and taken enough out of JMM so that the fight swayed more to Diaz' side....
I am not saying he would have won, but with Cleto Reyes gloves, Juan Diaz could be more effective..... I guess Everlast gots him on lock.....Comment

I know that I am, but I just think that with his volume of punches and how clean he usually lands, he would have a little something extra behind his shots..... Basically this was a think out loud kind of thread.Comment

I don't know if it would make that much of a difference though. When you fight as aggressively and land as many punches as Diaz does, it's hard to justify his KO ratio. IMO he probably broke or fractured his hand(s) or wrist(s) when he was younger because now that I think of it, that's the only logical reason I have for his lack of KOs (unless there's something deeper into it).
Everlast seems to be one of the only companies I've seen that does those exclusive types of contracts for fighters (Paul Williams), so I could be wrong though.Comment
