Juan Diaz being signed to Everlast is actually a negative for Diaz......

He is wearing Everlast GLOVES and trunks....

And I really havent seen him use anything other than Everlast....

Being that he isnt the biggest puncher, but a huge volume puncher, if he was able to use a "punchers" glove like Cleto Reyes, I think that he would be able to break down fighters even more than he already does.....

I think with the amount of punches that he landed on JMM, it PROBABLY could could have changed the tide and taken enough out of JMM so that the fight swayed more to Diaz' side....

I am not saying he would have won, but with Cleto Reyes gloves, Juan Diaz could be more effective..... I guess Everlast gots him on lock.....

The type of gloves don't really mae a difference. If you land a clean shot IT WILL HURT!! No matter what type of gloves you got on.

Boxing is about skill. Not worrying about what type of gloves u wearing!!

I know, I know.... But Cleto Reyes is a puncherrs glove..... I know that it doesnt make a big difference, but if I am not mistaking, they are all ten ounce gloves, but I think the padding weight is distributed differently.....

I just think that if he used Cleto gloves, his punches would have a bit more "umph" behind them....

Gloves make a surprising difference use everlast gloves for a couple weeks then switch to winning, grant, or cleto reyes it will feel much better.

Obviously im not saying gloves determine the winner just pointing out that ****ty gloves can **** you bad.

What makes them better? I use everlast, never used anything other, is it more padding? less padding? Whats the difference?

It is the way that the padding is distributed throughout the glove..... Usually Everlast that you use for training have more knuckle padding so that you dont hurt or have sore hands.....

Boxers (especially at Diaz' level) get to try out different types of gloves and fight/sign with whoever they feel comfortable with. Sometimes they'll just pick whichever feels right over protection or added punching power, etc. It is what it is.

Basically just the distribution of the padding.

In my experience the Everlast gloves have worn out pretty fast thats why I stopped getting them i just bought a new pair of grants.

Maybe so, but as far as I can remember the whole gym where Juan trains has been all everlast..... I have taken some old gloves from there that are probably 5 or so years old and they are Everlast.....
