Not a fan of either fight. But get to enjoy Marg getting his azz kicked which would e cool. With that said the catch weight **** is ridicules. Should never be allowed to set a catch if you are trying to fight for a belt or take somebody else belt. I understand many is to small but if thats the case he need to stay at 147.

I got ripped off by Pacquiao vs Clottey, I ain't getting ripped off again. I'd buy Margarito vs Cotto II, or Pacquiao vs anybody who is not from Top Rank. No more Pacquiao vs [insert Top Rank fighter here] for me. Unless it's some kind of fantasy, crazy ass fight like Gamboa vs Pacquiao.

This is garbage. They will be fighting for a vacant 154 pound belt and at some bs catch weight. At least let Margo fight at 154. Margo is plodding and slow and this is a total mismatch. Top Rank is ruining the sport.

Do people buy PPV's strictly to make certin promotional companies and fighters richer or do you buy them to watch the fight? This isn't a very hard question to answer.

Well that is why some are already backlashing against GBP and Top Rank. Perhaps this well help companies like Dan Goosen, Lou Dibella, and Gary Shaw? They have made it clear that they have difficulty in getting fights with the big "2."


We all know Don King's crooked past, but i tell you he put on some of the best fights in the history of the sport. He also would give you 3 or 4 championship fights in one PPV event.

Margarito looked like **** and couldn't even stop a journeyman in his last fight.
Margarito was caught cheating and decimated by Mosely.
Margarito's come-forward style is tailor made for Pacquiao.
He hasn't earned a title shot, and has yet to prove he's worth a **** without his hands illegally wrapped.

Again hes a 3 time champion who's fought and beat some very tough Welterweights so his body of work is just fine and it earns him a title shot.


Oh and the hand wraps thing. When he was suspended the CSAC never said anything about him having to win x ammount of fights in order for him to get a title shot did they?

My point is that I don't give a *** if it's an in house fight or not. It just doesn't matter to me. I could really care less who a fighters promoter is and if he fights other fighters under the same promotional company. Is the fight potentially exciting? Yes! Thats all i care about.

The other promotional company ala GBP. Do it to the extent of Top Rank. If you compare numbers not just one fighter but all their fighters and see how often they fight in house fighters you will see that they do it to the same extent.

But, lets take the 2 biggest name of the sport. Out of Pac last 4 fights how many of them were Top Rank fighters? Lets look at Floyd last 4 fights how many against GBP fighters?

I agree the rematch is not necessary and the Marg fight shouldn't be happening. But, again this "circle Jerk" other promotional companies do it too.

u make some valid points but like i said earlier. if the fights are interesting then i dont care who the promoters are but both these fights are pointless but one of them will still get made cause its in house. if Marg wasnt a cheater and been KTFO by mosley then i would be all for this fight

Margarito was never anything special.

He's a never was. Got owned twice by Daniel Santos, Paul Williams beat him up for 8 rounds and then Margarito's handwraps finally hardened enough to come back in the late rounds only to still lose and get outworked, Shane Mosley owned him badly.

His best wins are Cotto and Clottey. Wow, big deal.

He's nothing special, Pacquiao is going to eat him up for dinner. If Margarito only loses a decision that would be the best he can do. I see a stoppage in Pac's favor.
