The best part about that **** sport is when they're standing up. You know...... what the announcers themselves call boxing. The only thing fun about it is that they're fighting with 4 ounce gloves and glass jaws.

Most of those fighters are jacks of all trades masters of none.

And going back to the excitement part, I can assure you that if you can come up with 10 exciting mma fights in the last fiscal year or the entire 2009 that my 10 would destroy yours in terms of excitement and how fun they are.

The most popular sports/games are Basketball, billiards and bowling. Tennis too and chess. Boxing is probably in the lower half of the top ten.
This guy isn't wrong. Boxing has only become popular in the last decade or so. Guys like Gerry Penalosa, Rolando Navarette and Jesus Salud were not revered nearly enough in their primes.

Who says Filipinos have to follow Filipino fighters? Back in the early 80s when my grandfather and uncles came from the PI, they were huge Hagler and SRL fans. they introduced Boxing to me at that time. I think it was the Wide World of Sports brodcasts? Good times!
