he doesnt have time to be wasten
and that ko from williams only slowed down his chance to returning
    with everday that goes by
its only gonna get harder n harder for tyson to have a shot at once again becomin a champ

He once has already saved him. There was it in July of this year. Then Freddie has offered Tyson to leave on rest.

Gone is the old destructive entourage, replaced my task master and disciple of boxing Freddie Roach. Freddie Roach is all business and his stable also includes James Toney as well as Pacman. And he has told Mike if he is not serious about making a comeback "don't waste my time". This is someone Mike needs someone who won't take shyt from him, and teach him some discipline. So do you think Freddie Roach can return Mike to Heavyweight Contendership and possibly the title? Or is Iron Mike so far gone that God himself couldn't save him?.....your thoughts please.
I think the only person that can save Tyson is Tyson. As a person and a fighter. As long as he still has his power (and word has it that he does) then he's still a force...but only he can make himself commit to it and everything that involves...like trainging, staying out of trouble, etc.

The only thing that Roach can teach Iron Mike right now is discipline. Mike still has the power and skill to bounce back, specially with the present mediocre heavyweight line-up. But if Roach fails on this, if Iron Mike refuses to be cooperative, then nothing else can raise a dead man from his grave.

From what I saw in the Tyson/Williams fight....yes, Roach can help save Tyson. Prior to the torn ligament and for a while after the injury Tyson was beatin Williams without a question. He was slipping punches better than I've seen him do in a long while and he was throwin some ill body shots. In the times where Williams tried to tie up Mike earlier in the fight, he was victim to some nice uppercuts, showing that that tactic was not very effective like it would have been a couple years ago. I think that Tyson can make his comeback, but he's gotta be beyond disciplined cus everybody's against him and doesn't want to give him a chance.

Discipline seems to be the missing key. Cus Damato was the only one that Mike truly respected so after he died it was only a matter of time before he told Rooney to go jump in a lake. From the interviews I have read Mike seems to respect Freddie Roach too, Freddie Roach is known not clown and will tell Mike to get lost if he is not serious. Mike has even told Freddie,"Freddie I got your back man, if anyone f**ks with you I'll kill him." So the respect is there. It's up to Mike now to get motivated and driven to succeed then we will see if he still has a shot, once the knee heals of course.

I think he can still come back. But he has to really want it from inside. He should not step in the ring, just to get a paycheck.

I don't think he's that old. A healthy and focused Tyson today can still handily beat the likes of Byrd and Ruiz. But the problem is that he's not healthy and has lots of distractions. He certainly needs help and if he's "willing" to be helped (by Roach), then he can still be his old "killing" machine.
