Well, it's not going to be Haye, so if Peter isn't ready, Wlad might get an optional defense then have Peter after that. Who knows at this point, we'll wait for an official confirmation from the camps.

The fight could still go on though, if Wlad still wants it and they can't enforce a mandatory at the last minute.

I can't say I'm not surprised that this fight isn't going to happen. The conclusion of the fight was a foregone conclusion anyway.

Tyson respects both Klitschko brothers and their abilities. If he WERE going to get in the ring, I don't think it would be with either one of them, but he's not ever fighting again.

              Quotes:

If Povetkin is unable to fight and the IBF takes away his mandatory challenger status, Samuel Peter is next in the IBF rankings. The Commerzbank-Arena will have a capacity of 54,000 spectators.

I'm honestly amazed that the Klitschkos find any opponents at all. It's a pity that the ones who are actually willing to fight aren't capable of winning. Eventually, even Europe is going to get tired of the heavyweight scene.

                  Heres the IBF top ten.

                  1 Alexander Povetkin Russian Federation
                  2 Samuel Peter United States
                  3 Tomasz Adamek Poland
                  4 Denis Boytsov Germany
                  5 Eddie Chambers United States
                  6 Ruslan Chagaev Uzbekistan
                  7 Nicolay Valuev Russian Federation
                  8 Alexander Dimitrenko Ukraine
                  9 Jean Marc Mormeck France
                  10 Jonathon Banks

Adamek should pull out of facing Grant and take on Wlad in September.

I have no doubt that the POS Teddy Atlas was advising Povetkin to delay signing the contract as a "head game".

But it looked like it backfired. Povetkin has lost his IBF mandatory status.
