    Timothy Bradley. Overhyped?

I watched him fight for the first time last Saturday, and after hearing all this hype surrounding him, I wasnt all that impressed. Sure he's good, but nowhere near the way certain posters here were making him out to be. He throws a lot of wide wild looping punches. He sure as hell isnt ready for the likes of Pac or Floyd.

    Anyone feel the same?

nope bradley has proven himself in the ring against some very quality competition at jr ww. if anyone is overhyped its devon alexander a guy who although talented has done nothing but beat a junior witter who bradley beat a year earlier and beat juan urango in a close fight until the stoppage.

I don't think Bradley is overhyped but I do think he needs to fight some other WW's before calling out the big dogs.

Completely disagree, here's why:He should be hyped up even more,he is elite at 140!!Any fighter that elite in any weight class should be hyped so damn far that people start to forget about Floyd & Manny!!I don't care how wild he fights, all his fights are action for 1/3 the cost of watching Floyd or Manny fight,in short, more **** for the buck, hype his a$$ through the roof!!

It mainly is dependent on the eye of the beholder.

IMO Bradley has the goods. And the bloke is just feeling pumped and confident right now, calling out Pacquiao to challenge himself alone is a testament he knows what he wants.

Though people call avoidance in the other 140 boys, it definitely was a big leap calling out Pacquiao, whether or not he's ready to face Manny. The outcome would be a Pacquiao beatdown most likely.

And of course, in a perfect world, he can have his chance, but not without scumbag promoters in tow.

Bradley is a good fighter and has proved he is a worthy champion, but he hasn't fought anyone of Alexander or Khan's calibre and is starting to make himself look like a ***** who cares about money more than the sport itself.

He needs to face the 140 contenders/champions to prove he is the best. At the moment it seems he only cares about chasing a ridiculous big money fight with Pacquiao.

where have you been if this is the first time you've seen bradley?

it's not like all of the hype was from the fight with abregu. you should check out some of his other fights before you make a decision like that. his last fight isn't one i would use as the best representation of him.

If you want to watch an on-form Bradley watch his fight with Lamont Peterson.

the phrase: "you're only as good as your last fight" comes to mind

Kellerman said it, and he might be right. Bradley is well rounded.
