how can it hurt his legacy? HE'S AN OLD MAN

Tszyu losing to Hatton wouldn't have hurt his legacy except that he QUIT. See the difference? If Bernard quits, it definitely diminishes everything he's accomplished as a fighter, but if he gets BEAT, fine. He's an old man.

"I'm still picking Hopkins to win on points, but I wouldn't be surprised if the fight went the way of Taylor."

      prboxer.....

      Transparent, bro'.
That's the kind of pick (or non-pick) someone makes to cover their ass.

...basically....you think Hopkins will win, but you threw that other part in there so, should he lose, you can come on here & say "I told you so".
You're doing what I've seen so many others on forums do.

Here is the guaranteed prediction that is not a prediction in terms of picking a winner...

This fight is going to be as close as fights get...it will be able to be argued either way...scoring these rounds is going to be as tough to do as any fight you have ever scored.

Razor thin fight where you may look at your card after 10 rounds and say holy **** I have 6 even rounds...it is going to be tight, that is the prediction!

If Taylor throws more punches than Hopkins I like his chances to eek out a close ass fight.

Who the hell scores even rounds? That's how you **** up great fights. Jesus Christ, Morales-Barrera III would have been a draw if one judge didn't decide to score one rounds even. You don't score even rounds unless a fighter loses a point.

I dissagree... I agree with everything that prboxer says.

And as much as I disslike Hopkins and thinks he's vastly over-rated... It wouldn't suprise me if he runs for 12 rounds flicking out a poxy jab (if that) and tries to steal a sneaky points decsion.

Hopkins is bad for our sport and I hope Taylor has the courage and skill to take it to Hopkins and rough him up!

              Martin....

What if Hopkins takes Taylor apart ?
Will you give him credit ?

No....that's why you said "I hope Taylor has the courage & skills."
You're afraid to say that Taylor will win, because that means he's a hurdle...& if he's a hurdle Hopkins easily clears, you must give Hopkins credit.

There's no doubt that Hopkins is a smart fighter... And he'll do whatever he has to do during those 45mins/12rounds to win, EVEN if that means putting on a terrible show and blatently running for 12 rounds.

I think that people give Hopkins WAY TOO MUCH respect... And the way to take Hopkins to pieces is to (do a Ricky Hatton) on him!

Really, what I mean by my comments, "I hope Taylor has the courage and skill to take it to Hopkins and rough him up" Is that Taylor doesn't show Hopkins ANY respect, and takes it too him!

Fuego I was being sarcastic about scoring all of those even rounds but you are young and I did not expect you to get that.

In terms of scoring even rounds this has been a big debate topic for judges and it seems that there are many different opinions...some judges like Glenn Hamada refuse to score a round even, other judges regualrly score rounds even.

On HBO HArold will never score a round even and Merchant usually in a close fight always scores a round even.

I myslef dont mind an even round, especially in the first when fighters are feeling each other out shadow boxing each other, you cant get carried away with even rounds and if at all possible you need to declare a winner but I hate giving the first round to a guy when he does nothing.

I've never seen an even round in my life unless one fighter had a point deducted
