In this thread: http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=397256
I was doing my weekly check up on univision boxeo and espn boxeo and ran across those statements 5 days after they were made so I googled them and found zero results.
I was reading an article on theboxingtruth.com from last month about the De La Hoya comments on Spanish TV Univision and Ricardo Lois said this:
But you see, it was actually the moment that I presented De La Hoya's clear statements that either John himself read my thread or some one tipped him. If you google for articles about the statements, every one puts the comments out as "translated by John Chavez from theboxingtruth." That would of been cool to read "as translated by Zarco by boxingscene.com" on all the articles all over the world.
Never the less, reading those comment up until today all over including watching those comments talked about on ESPN makes me feel special that it was all due to me.

Following De La Hoya's comments, my colleague at The Boxing Truth John Chavez presented a brief report on the website titled "Oscar De la Hoya speaks on Pacquiao-Mayweather, "We're very close to Finalizing the Contracts!" Prior to Chavez's report, which was posted on June 11th,these comments made by De La Hoya received no media attention of significance. The moment Chavez presented De La Hoya's clear statements, many English boxing news outlets quoted Chavez's re-report of the situation.
