The bottom line is the maywaether camp did absolutely nothing to try to make the fight. Floyds statement yesterday to the AP confirmed this. The only thing you can pull from it is Arum tried hard but was getting no response, and some how its his fault for trying?

They were not retracted. Schaefer said a few days later that Oscar was misquoted. Schaefer didn't realize the quotes were from a "televised" interview
