After a gruelling match between Team Mayweather and Team Pac,
Floyd submitted by claiming that he is not thinking about boxing right now and would rather take a vacation with family.
Instead of accepting defeat, they turn around and claim they weren't playing chess, but rather checkers with that ****** statement of Ellerbe.
The he-said-she-said arguement is meant to fool the public and sway opinions from Floyd's recent statement. How 'bout explaining what Floyd meant with his statement rather than another attempt to tarnish someones reputation in Greenburg, smh.
All I gotta say is I agree with statement number 1, that if negotiations weren't going on, why didn't anybody from Mayweather's camp respond two months ago? I mean, we have seen several times in the past that Fighter A says he has a deal with Fighter B and then a day or two later, Fighter B responds saying he hadn't heard a thing or got any phone call. So okay, that happens but two f**king months? I think they realized that Mayweather was getting too much **** for his "I am not thinking about boxing right now" comment and are now trying to deflect the backlash. Arum is a scumbag but so is Al Haymon, so who the f**k knows, but I just wonder if no negotiations, why the two month wait to say so since Top Rank has been claiming negotiations and even posted the deadline on their website....
All I know a weekly sitcom with Roger Mayweather, Floyd Sr and Mike tyson would be the funniest show on television. No script needed just let them mangle the language with their witty statements in each episode. It would be a hit.
i don't know about a big hole, but after it's been this long before the fight he's going to do the same thing Arum did to him before and prolong the fight when the other side is ready to go. I guess Mayweather's not looking to rush into anything... but the fight would be in November. Arum said before how he wanted to see Mayweather fight Mosley first, and he did his best to make that happen. Now Mayweather and his team are inconviencing Manny and having him take another fight and not rushing into anything.
Manny didn't want the fight before, and now Mayweather doesn't want the fight, and the fans are going to have to wait even longer to finally see this fight. These guys are idiots, and right now it's Mayweather's fault for delaying the fight.
Mayweather fought in May, and he's not getting younger, he should be able to and he should want to take the fight 6 months after his last fight, you don't help your reputation with the fans when you talk a lot, you're supposed to be the best and you talk about being an entertainer and they can't even see you fight twice a year. You keep stepping in the ring and fighting the best and a lot of the critics go quiet.
No one's in a rush, Manny's going to fight a Top Rank opponent who doesn't deserve a chance or stand a chance so his promoter can get rich and Mayweather's going to be doing nothing when you have guys who can fight at 147 like Berto and Williams but they can still call themselves the best. But Al Haymon manages Berto, Williams, and Mayweather while Arum promotes Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and Pacquiao and the politics make the division picture blurry instead of having all of these guys face off and fight when it's relevant. If you're going to call yourself the best and you fight at Welterweight, you should be fighting any top fighter who can make that weight without making excuses. I don't care that Pacquiao and Mayweather moved up and Paul's a lot taller.
