Pistol I dont have a problem with the gloves and all that
he served his time so let him show his innocence or at least the fact that he is clean now
I have a problem with Pac fighting yet another one demensional fighter with no defense, no foot work and no speed
that is what I have a problem with
he can fight Alexander, Khan, Ortiz, Berto, Mosley, Bradley, Martinez, but instead they are matching him up with another guy from the same mold
he has been fighting the same type fighter since he moved up
nothing new nothing special
May doesnt want to fight or at least is making it seem that way so go fight a skilled fighter that will challenge you
why not fight Martinez for the strap he vacated
that would be worthy of a title shot not Margs
3. Tony was the #1 ww in the world "just a year and a half ago". The guy has the credentials to fight a guy like Pac especially since for over the past 4 years he was always mentioned as a potential opponent for Mayweather when he was the #1 PFP fighter.
.
For me, it's TWO things:
1) Margarito is a cheater who is unlicensed, and Pac should send the message that Tony needs to "get right" with the Commission that Pac loves so much.
It's curious how the Commission is GREAT when it comes to their drug rules, but then the Commission sucks and should be bypassed when it comes to their licensing practices. Hypocrite much, Pacroid?
2) Margarito was viciously beaten "just a year and a half ago" (your words). He has accomplished almost nothing since. Shouldn't the #1 P4P guy face elite competition?
Exactly the wrap incident doesnt just magically erase all that. Plus most of the people who would disagree with me already hated Tony even before he was caught.
That's what it basically is.
Floyd fans hate him cause he punked him out.
Cotto/PR fans hate him cause he beat the **** out of Cotto and Cintron.
Only because Margarito was always a bum to me. So I don't see the fight as competitive. Margarito was never a elite fighter and neither was the fighter who he got his biggest win againt Miguel Cotto.

Floyd never did.
What did Bruseles, Ndou, Gatti, Mitchell, Judah, or Oscar do?
None of those guys were anywhere near any real rankings.
Tony losing once doesn't mean he's still not a world class elite fighter.
Sadly, the amount of money he will make, far outweights the postive that would be seeing him getting his teeth kicked in. Meaning I think he will get outworked and humiliated, but not knocked out.
I don't think Pac's power is all that at ww nor will it be at jmw. Yes, he knocked out a bunch of guys, but those with good chins like dlh/clottey barely felt it (granted, clottey was in his shell all night). Whether or not Margo's chin was cracked, pac would still have to reach pretty far up, drastically reducing his power. IMO anyways.
Not worth it, I'd rather see him getting his ass kicked by a journeyman.
And none of those things do not make him the former number 1 ww in the world or a man that in the prime of his career was always mentioned as an opponent for the #1 fighter in the world.
And as far as him losing what you have to be undefeated to fight pac now?
Seriously one has nothing to do with the other.
key words.."was".."former"...the man just got ko'd in his last meanigful fight..dont act like it didnt happen...as far as im concerned it manny fighting another guy coming off of a loss..
