Didn't Shane Mosley say that Darryl hudson was the one who led him to Balco? I notice that DH just started working with Perro Angulo.
In May 2008, Mosley’s former trainer and conditioning coach, Darryl Hudson, supported Victor Conte’s allegations against Mosley. Darryl Hudson was one of the four people in the room, along with Conte, Mosley and BALCO vice president James Valente, during the initial July 2003 visit to BALCO labs. Hudson corroborated Conte’s account a meeting on July 26, 2003 where the benefits of three illegal were outlined for Shane Mosley. "I know that Mr. Mosley was aware that the performance-enhancing drugs provided to him by Mr. Conte were banned drugs because I discussed that fact with Mr. Mosley both during and after our visit to BALCO," according to Hudson. Mosley’s defamation suit identified Hudson as being present during this meeting. Both Conte and Hudson have stated that Mosley was fully aware of the illegal and banned nature of the BALCO products.Comment

Why are diuretics banned? Partly sor health/safety. But also partly for a level playing field.
Here is one perspective:
The most popular performance enhancing drugs for building muscle mass are anabolic steroids, a synthesized hormone that increase a number of physiological functions--including appetite, bone growth, and protein synthesis--which aid in the rapid development of muscle tissue. Anabolic steroids have a number of drastic side-effects, including a lowering of the voice, higher levels of hair growth, and the shrinking of testicles in men.
Severe diuretics, (which increase the frequency of urination), are also used illicitly in many sports to artificially speed the loss of weight. This can have consequences which include lightheadedness and even fainting spells. The use of intense diuretics is particularly troubling because the users are often young children in sports such as gymnastics where weight can be a critical factor.
Recently, the use of pharmaceutical enhancement drugs in the musical world has begun receiving some attention. The problem of heavy stress affecting performance (commonly known as stage fright) is one which plagues performers of all levels. The use of a synthetic, Inderal, has sparked controversy as to the ethical considerations in using an enhancement drug before performing musical pieces.Comment

Types of performance-enhancing drugs
Although the phrase performance-enhancing drugs is typically used in reference to anabolic steroids or their precursors, world anti-doping organizations apply the term broadly. The phrase has been used to refer to several distinct classes of drugs:
Lean mass builders are used to drive or amplify the growth of muscle and lean body mass, and sometimes to reduce body fat. This class of drugs includes anabolic steroids, beta-2 agonists, selective androgen receptor modulator SARMs and various human hormones, most notably human growth hormone, as well as some of their precursors.
Stimulants are used by athletes to stimulate their bodies and perform at optimum level, usually to increase alertness, decrease fatigue, and increase aggressiveness. Examples include caffeine and amphetamines.
Painkillers mask athletes' pain so they can continue to compete and perform beyond their usual pain thresholds. Blood pressure is increased causing the cells in the muscles to be better supplied with vital oxygen. Painkillers used by athletes range from common over-the-counter medicines such as NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen) to powerful prescription narcotics.
Sedatives are sometimes used by athletes in sports like archery which require steady hands and accurate aim, and also by athletes attempting to overcome excessive nervousness or discomfort. Alcohol, beta blockers, and marijuana are examples.
Diuretics expel water from athletes' bodies. They are often used by athletes such as wrestlers, who need to meet weight restrictions. Many stimulants also have a secondary diuretic effect.
Masking drugs are used to prevent the detection of other classes of drugs. These evolve as quickly as do testing methods - which is very quickly indeed[1] - although a time-tested classic example is the use of epitestosterone, a drug with no performance-enhancing effects, to restore the testosterone/epitestosterone ratio (a common criterion in steroid testing) to normal levels after anabolic steroid supplementation.Comment

And he wants to talk about "an even playing field"?
But yea, is Floyd doing year round testing or not?Comment

Doping Effects
Stimulants. Stimulants increase alertness and reduce fatigue. They also may increase competitiveness, hostility, and the chance of injury from accidents caused by the user's poor judgment. Addiction is also possible with the use of stimulants. Prohibited stimulants include amphetamine, caffeine, *******, and ephedrine.
Narcotics. Narcotic analgesics mainly function as painkillers but also may produce euphoria or psychological stimulation, false feelings of invincibility, and illusions of physical prowess. These drugs also increase the pain threshold, which can cause greater injury because an athlete may not be aware of the original injury. Use of narcotics can also lead to physical dependence. Narcotic analgesics include Demerol, Dilaudid, Percodan, and Vicodin.
Anabolic Steroids. Anabolic steroids (proper name: anabolic-androgenic steroids) are synthetic substances related to the male sex hormones (androgens). They promote the growth of skeletal muscle (anabolic effects) and the development of male sexual characteristics (androgenic effects), and also have some other effects.
Since the 1950s, some athletes have been taking anabolic steroids to build muscle and boost their athletic performance. Studies show that, over time, anabolic steroids can indeed take a heavy toll on a person's health. The abuse of oral or injectable steroids is associated with higher risks for heart attacks and strokes, and the abuse of most oral steroids is associated with increased risk for liver problems.
Anabolic steroid abuse can also cause undesirable body changes. These include breast development and genital shrinking in men, masculinization of the body in women, and acne and hair loss in both sexes. Source
Diuretics. Diuretics have important the****utic indications for the elimination of excess fluid from body tissue in certain pathological conditions, which requires strict medical supervision. Diuretics are abused by athletes to reduce weight quickly in sports where weight categories are involved and to reduce the concentration of prohibited substances by diluting urine. Reducing weight in a short period of time has the potential for serious health side effects. Also using diuretics to deliberately cheat drug tests is ethically unacceptable. Diuretics include Bumex, Hygroton, Lasix, and Oratrol.
Peptide Hormones. Hormones, including human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG and corticotrophin (ACTH, tetracosactide), are used in sports for a variety of effects. HCG and other related compounds lead to increased rate of production of endogenous androgenic steroids. Corticotrophin has been used to increase the blood levels of endogenous corticosteroids to obtain the euphoric effect of this hormone. The use of growth hormones can cause many serious side effects, including diabetes and a fatal neurological condition called Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease.
Other Substances Subject to Certain Restrictions. Alcohol, cannabinoids (marijuana and hashish), local anesthetics, glucocorticosteroids, and beta-blockers are substances that are under certain restrictions. Local anesthetics are permitted only when medically necessary and only by intra-articular injection. Only certain types of anesthetics can be used, such as bupivacaine, lidocaine, mepivacaine, and procaine. Corticosteroids such as cortisone are naturally occurring and are used as an anti-inflammatory drug and pain reliever. The systematic use of corticosteroids may produce mood changes and euphoria, and their use, except when applied topically, demand medical control. Beta-blockers are used to control hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, angial pectoris, and migraines. There are other effective alternative preparations available to control these conditions. Beta-blockers can be misused in such sports as archery, diving, and gymnastics.Comment
