ive put 500 on floyd, already(two people 250 each.) i have a two grand total im using as betting money(on floyd.) its not easy to find people putting money down on pac.
when they fight, floyd is going to make easy work of pac and i expect people to discredit floyds win, right away. b.c he will make the fight look easy.
cant wait for this to go down. i wish pac was going to be the betting fav so i could put money(id put down a few grand) on the books and come up, big time.
Making a bet on a fight that did not get signed? idiot... stop making **** up.. noone bet $250 each on a fight that is not going to happen. ******.
Now I get your name, Mayweather says "Suck" you say "Yesir!, how deep?"
Just accept that Floyd turned down the fight, regardless of the stipulations, he flat out said no fight. Accept and move on.Comment

Floyd comes off looking like a *****. Even if he lost, it would be an exciting fight and he would get respect and earn more fans in the process. If Pacquiao lost, it wouldn't tarnish his reputation either. Besides, they would make a hell of a lot of money.Comment

This article is nearly identical to what I posted ystrday. So it's good to see that my tip was on point.
Mayweather can go coach charity basketball games now. And Pacquiao can go learn to read.
The time off will benefit them both.Comment

The last fight of floyd shows up weakness, tired, flat footed.....simply an old mosley almost knock him down.....
If this happen to unstoppable pacman....what do you expect..
If he want to maintain an undefeated record walk away and retire.....if he change his mind and fight next year next? Next? Year and lost to him he would say i'm old,not in prime, not in focus....what else.....Comment

I really like reading your articles David because you take all the B.S. out and just tell it like it is.
My take on the FMJ/Pac situation is something like this...
Firstly, I did question Arums sincerety when it came to his support of Mannys bid for Congress. While on one hand, during the week of the elections, Bob was saying he supported Manny- win, lose or never fighting again. In the next breath, he reported that he believed Manny would still continue to fight - even though Manny had just reported that his Mother gave him permission to fight ONE more fight for FMJ. Now we've all read Arum and Arizas push for Pac vs Cotto/Margarito, and in the final hours of the "deadline" for FMJ to sign for the fight, Arum all but gave FMJ multiple reasons NOT to fight "right now". I know there are people on here that believe that Arum takes unneccessary flack for everything that happens, however IMO Arum seemed almost overly accepting that this fight was probably not going to happen this year. Hey, what better way to keep Pac fighting Arums top choices all while convincing him that the FMJ will happen "next year". Of course Arum is not going to be upset, he gets to milk his guy out of a couple more fights, he knows Manny doesn't want to retire until he fights Floyd. It's a no lose situation for Arum, why would he be upset? Six months ago he was so upset he couldn't hold his tongue when the fight didn't happen, but that's before he knew he was on the final countdown with Mannys fighting career. But you're right, every one could have been saved a lot of worry and trouble had Al Haymon just come out and said "Floyd is not interested at this time." in the very first place. Period.
Your statement of "Never mind what the fans wanted" not only was spot on, the first point in your 10 Count summed it up perfectly. As I have said before, and will continue to believe until some of those fights are in the history books - GREED is killing the sport for the fans. We don't care how much money they make (at least the sensible fans) if we never get to see the fight made. Big money fights that get killed over money disputes end up making everyone involved ZERO dollars and ZERO cents (and ZERO sense).Comment

Overall I think we have two losers. Fair or not, most people now look at Pac and wonder...people now look at Floyd and think he didnt want to fight. So one guy may be lumped in as a possible cheater with no proof, and one guy may be called a coward because he didnt want to be pressured into the fight. Pretty sad when you take two great champions and turn them into losers.Comment

by David P. Greisman - Hope is a hot bath that has just had its stopper pulled. It is comforting but fleeting, draining away until the inevitable emptiness.
There is no more hope that Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will fight, not in 2010, at least. That plug was pulled weeks ago, hope edging closer each day to the abyss, struggling against the current but ultimately succumbing. The fight has gone down those proverbial tubes.
“I’m not really thinking about boxing right now,” Mayweather, coaching a charity basketball game Sunday, told the Associated Press. “I’m just relaxing. I fought about 60 days ago, so I’m just enjoying myself, enjoying life, enjoying my family and enjoying my vacation.”
That would have to suffice for the reason why Mayweather will not fight Pacquiao. It was an explanation that failed to explain, just as Mayweather turned down a Pacquiao fight without ever officially turning it down.
Three weeks ago we were told negotiations for a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather were over, that the hard part was done.
On the surface, this was progress.
Half a year ago the negotiations had sputtered out spectacularly. They had agreed on the money (a 50-50 split), a weight limit (welterweight), and the size of the gloves (8 ounces). They could not agree on drug testing. They would not agree on drug testing. It was a matter of ego that masqueraded as a matter of principle. Pacquiao went on to defeat Joshua Clottey. Mayweather went on to beat Shane Mosley. [Click Here To Read More]Comment
