Nobody has mentioned the "E.A. JINX"

I'm a little surprised that I haven't caught a thread or post this week that refers to the possibility of the good old "EA JINX" that might haunt Bernard Hopkins on Saturday...

just to quickly educate a few of you guys who don't know, the cover-boys for EA Sports games in the US have traditionally had very bad luck during the year that they were on the cover....

"THE JINX" has burned more NFL guys than any other group....Marshall Faulk, Eddie George, Daunte Culpepper, and Michael Vick all got haunted by "THE JINX" for their Madden covers....

Roy Jones got KO'd twice following his cover-pose for FN 2004...

Ray Lewis and Ricky Hatton were able to avoid THE JINX, will it bite Bernard in the a$$ on Saturday???

me too, simply because I mentioned it to a buddy who hates FNrd2 and he got all wound up about how ****** it was to even consider THE JINX, but this same buddy got offended when I said the same thing about Michael Vick, and he tore up his knee in the PRESEASON so I'd just love to see THE JINX live on!

i KNEW someone was gonna say that anyway, as i said somewhere else, Roy just wasn't into the fight. Other than this incident, where else has it occured other than on a Madden game?

The EA Curse doesn't count because it's been too many months since the game came out. If he lost to Eastman, that'd be one thing but too much time has passed and he already dominated Eastman in the fight immediately after FNR2 came out. I mean what if he doesn't lose until two years from now. Should we be like "HOPKINS LOST! OMG THE CURSE!!!!!"

I wasn't aware that the curse had specific timeframe ramifications, sorry professor....the whole thing is a JOKE anyhow, you're looking a little too deep into the situation brother, don't jump off a tall building just because Sonic the Hedgehog can do it Plus the jinx ususally kicks in when there's slight competition on the other side of the coin, Eastman was the most overrated middleweight since Antwun Echols
