Holding has been part of the sport since before we were all born.

It was the difference between Mosley vs Margarito/Williams vs Margarito and Cotto vs Margarito.

Williams and Mosley both held to disrupt Margarito's rhythm and to not let him get off.

Stop with the race card crap. Hatton was like an MMA fighter in boxing. Green held onto Ward more than he was doing the holding.

A good fighter always knows when to hold, a fight with to much holding are probably the worst (atleast if there are no meaningful punches landing) but if a fighter doesn't hold at the right points he will get hit way more.

Also it is an art to do it an not be blatant at it.
