im not kidding! vinny maddalone was a possible opponent for tua next but welliver(42-5-5) may be next & this fight could be a WBO eliminator.welliver is in the wbo top 10 rankings.hes the interim wbo asian pacific champion.tua is the champ & defended the belt last night vs barrett.welliver also has the wbc continental americas title so he must be in their top 15 rankings as well.welliver called out tua after the fight & said he will invoke his interim right to fight for the asian pacific title.welliver lives in new zealand & holds 2 santioning bodies minor titles.welliver has 2 notible names on his resume.he lost to solis & david bostice.usually a fat slob around 280-290,he has got his weight down to under 250 & apparently has a good chin.i own the solis fight & was not impressed. these newzealand fighters have pretty good promoters.meehan,tua,welliver & cameron all seem to get decent fights there.tua vs welliver is a big fight in nz....this is how a good promoter works.he secures regional title fights for his boxers so they can leap frog other contenders in the rankings even if they are not as good.don king was a master at it...think bruce seldon.he owned many regional titles so he was able to have a good ranking so he could get big fights.ive said it many times how important these regional titles are.many of them are vacant so if you win one you have a legitimate shot at a title eliminator even if you are not in the class of guys below you.its the best & quickest route to a title shot or big payday.welliver has 2 fights coming up.one vs galen brown & another vs some other guy.this just sounds hilarious but it could happen by november in newzealand.

lol! its pretty sad but could happen...regional titles....2 local cruiserweights in my hometown(frank white & james cermak, both top 40wbc)fought for the vacant wbc continental americas title but no one won because they called it a draw.bullcrap! this would have brought some decent cruiserweight fights here to edmonton,well at least 1 until white or cermak lost.these belts are important for rankings & it gives everyone an understanding how rankings are made.its not just corruption,its good promoting.don king is a master at it....Comment

i agree but thats not how boxing works these days & you know that.this is exactly why there should NOT be 4 world titles....this fight will more likely happen then any of the names you mentioned.it sucks but this is boxing today.lets not forget the wbo title was regional until 2005.anyone who won this belt before that was not a world champion.the wbo is mostly based out of eastern europe,australia,& asia.now the nabo is its noth american minor title(adamek has it).so adamek vs tua could happen but i think adamek could be fighting haye next if grant pulls out.which adamek hinted.Comment
