One is an excuse after the fight. The other one justifying why he don't want the fight. You can spin this anyway you want. I would prefer to see a fight first. Excuses of any kind are all lame anyway hence it is an excuse. Fact is as soon as you sign a contract, everything that happens in between or after as a direct consequence of that contract is your responsibility ... be it success or failure.
Which is excuse is legitimate?

Also one excuse has nothing to do with the other, people blame losses on many diffrent reasons. But the fact is he fought and loss the other made an excuse before the fight. So its really compairing apples to oranges.
Mayweather is a man wether it's spending time with his folks , dont want to fight at this time, scared to fight whatever people wish to say. At the end of the day its him that needs to step in the ring non of us. So although I don't like the option he chose , I will respect his wishes.Comment

Floyd kept the world waiting for about two months.. He could have spared us all the agony. All the hype of this fight died with his excuse. Maybe next year when he comes out of his "second retirement", he'll fight Paulie Malignaggi as his tune-up at 144 pounds, and maybe then, i'm saying "maybe then" fight Pacquiao by the end of 2011.. or 2012... or maybe never at all. Willing to negotiate beats "not willing to negotiate" any time of day.
Pac-Mayweather by 2010 has officially been closed with Floyd retiring.
Pacquiao, even though he's gained Power(politics), Fortune, Fame and a family/country that loves him.. he's still willing to to get in the ring to give out a show to fans and haters alike.
There is only one Manny Pacquiao and only one Floyd Mayweather Jr. It's disappointing that the latter doesn't like to get in the ring with the formerComment

damn sharkie, for some reason i always thought of you as the thinking *****.
pointing out an excuse by pac on why he lost a fight to justify an excuse by floyd to duck a fight?
it's like you're saying some guy's excuse for raping an 8 yr old girl is acceptable because that same girl stole candy from the store and said she was told by her fairy godmother to do it.
wtf happened for you to stoop this low?
grasping at straws much?Comment

you know what, maybe i was misguided by that one time we had a discussion and even though i didn't agree with much of what he said, he seemed to know exactly what he was talkin about.
either it was just a one off or boxing discussions are too much for him to stay reasonable.Comment

The point was that everyone has excuses and everyone gauges excuses, when in reality no matter what the excuse, they're all the same.damn sharkie, for some reason i always thought of you as the thinking *****.

If you want to use a different situation, how about when Pacquiao said Mayweather was too big and he didn't want to fight him, yet weeks later Foreman/Margarito was being seen as a possible opponent.Comment

because after all is said and done, pac wants to fight floyd.
that's the fact.
another fact is, floyd doesn't want to.
whether for now or forever is anyone's guess.
that's the sad reality.Comment
