If Mosley was ranked number 3 and was the number 1 welterweight, what does that make of Mayweather who had beaten Marquez some five months earlier while weighing 146 lbs (which is six above the LightWelterweight limit and well within the Welterweight range) and Pacquiao who took the WBO Welterweight crown from Miguel Cotto in November--six months before Mayweather fought Mosley--and therefore was a Welterweight?
If one rates Pacquiao as number one Pound for Pound, how can Mosley be the number one Welterweight if both Pacquiao and Mosley were ranked in the same division? Or, if one ranks Mayweather as number 1 Pound for Pound, how can Mosley be top dog in the Welterweight division? Moreover, if Marquez was rated number two, and Mosley 3 at the time of the Mayweather-Mosley meeting, does that mean that either Pacquiao or Mayweather was rated number 4 or lower?
Just asking.

people also forget how all this started in the first place.
to be honest, if there were no accusations... fight would have been made.... plain & simple. everything that unfolded was the result of baseless defamatory comments. ricky, cotto, clottey NEVER questioned pac & PEDs...
if floyd REALLY suspected pac of PEDs, then they couldve privately set terms.... but publicly accusing and defaming the man sabotaged the possibility of the fight being made the first time. the same could be said about bob & negotiating through the media.... all about posturing & saving face.Comment

If Pac wins his next fight, I believe Floyd will fight him next year, make 50-60 mil. and retire.Comment

The pendulum has no swung both ways. I had to suck it up when Pacman walked out of negotiations and then Floyd Jr. lucked out with the Berto vs. Mosley cancellation. But now Floyd Jr fans have to be realistic. You can't call out "I have returned to beat all the best fighters" when you only fight two guys (one whom was way undersized to have a chance and the other a legitimate opponent) and then take more time off because you want to relax. You have that right but you contradicted yourself. Floyd, man up and let us know what you wanna do? You wanna retire, fine, do it! If you want to be what you think you are "I am better than Ali, Robinson, etc." it's time to put up or shut up! All time greats don't find ways to not fight....Comment

You're perogrative, but the way I see it, a 35 yr old fighter, who's the best in the world, just coming off a 40 mil. payday don't have to fight twice a year if he don't want to. I would love to see him fight but it's his choice.
If Pac wins his next fight, I believe Floyd will fight him next year, make 50-60 mil. and retire.
Pacquiao is a one-dimensional fighter. I don’t see no versatility in Manny Pacquiao. If he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, all he has to do is step up to the plate, Can Manny Pacquiao beat me? Absolutely not!
