    Chinese boxing and chinese boxers...

I know the chinese are in to the boxing and they have there own style as well as there own methods of training.

I am wondering who is the best boxer in china and how do they like to train in the east???

I will be honest with you, I am a bit ignorant in terms of having the right perception of chinese culture and there boxing background so the thread title may or may not be a bit confusing but from what I can understand there is a boxing culture in china

Chinese boxing is not western boxing.

Chinese boxing = Wing Chun/Kung Fu

It deals with every part of the hand. Not just the fist.

Palm strikes, knife hands, hammer punches, etc....

They had some pretty good athletes in the last Olympics and their style is basically a Cuban knock-off because they're national coach is a Cuban. You'll never see them in the Pros though so it doesn't really matter. The Chinese goverment threw their muscle behind Yao in Bball because he can't get knocked the **** out and embarass the whole nation lol

Kung Pao Beef > Kung Pao chicken.

At least at the place down the street.

The issue with Chinese boxers is generally they are government sponsored so Beijing would prefer them as amateurs (kind of like Cuba)

There's been a few ok ones recently in the pro ranks, but by no means is it common.

With 1.5 billion people there are bound to be a few good ones.
