Considering that he has been lying for the last two weeks about having an agreement with GBP, I don't believe Arum when he says that Haymon signed off on the deal. I would bet that Greenburg told Haymon that Arum and Pac were only willing to do a 50-50 split with a 14-day cutoff on drug testing and were not willing to negotiate any further. Haymon took the deal to Floyd and Floyd ignored it. Then, Arum began with all the bull**** about an agreement with GBP and the rest of the crap he has been feeding the idiots in the media and the nitwits on this site.
That does seem a likely scenario, and it explains why Arum will not shut the door on Mayweather, hence the GBP bull****.

Yes, that's it..... the style that will win the Super-6, beat Bute, and establish Ward as the premier 168lb'er

You are looking incredibly knieve for taking that simplistic approach.

I agree with you that Arum still clearly wants the fight, but you labeling Mayweather a coward because he didn't meet Uncle Bob's deadline, just makes you look like a hater. Arum hates Mayweather, and even he didn't stoop that low

Your blanket comments about Bradley are perceived in exactly the same way.

Arum is a deceitful ****, see this for what it is.

You CANNOT call Mayweather a coward for this reason.....

He already signed to fight Manny, and the terms that he agreed to were more than fair..... 50/50 and a 14-day cutoff were not good enough for Manny back in January, but all of a sudden Pac has decided that Floyd was being fair after all. WTF?

Back in January, why didn't Manny agree to the terms that he desperately wants now?

Was he being a coward? If not, then explain to me why? Use the same equation for Manny that you are so eager to use for Floyd.

So, you hate Mayweather and Bradley..... fair enough.

Anyone else you hate, just for the record ?

It's sick how many people here claim to be boxing fans. A true boxing fan see's this for what it is. This fight won't happen because of two guys with massive ego's. Floyd isn't afraid to fight Pacquiao. He is a grown man that has made a living of stepping in the ring and getting punched by other men. Does he want to lose? Of course not. That doesn't mean that he is going to avoid fighters to stay unbeaten.

Pacquiao isn't on steroids. The presumption of guilt on this website is staggering. If anybody in here were accused of committing a crime with no proof, they would be bitching and moaning to no end. I have yet to see ONE person prove, with an archived post, that they believed Pacquiao was on steroids prior to Mayweather making that claim. Yet, now there are hundred's of PED experts on this site. Amazing.

People are also foolish if they think that Arum doesn't want Pacquiao to fight Mayweather. Honestly, it makes me laugh to think that some loser, sitting in his mom's basement, thinks he knows more about promoting a fight and making money than a man who has been DEEP in the business for 40 years. Arum knows how much money a fight with PBF will make. He also knows that there will be a re-match clause. This would be a competitive fight (despite what some of the so-called experts here would have you believe), and the re-match would make just as much money as the first fight. Two Mayweather-Pacquiao fights would earn Arum more money than 3 or 4 Pacquiao v whomever fights. Also, this notion of Arum losing his "cash cow" is so utterly ridiculous. Pacquiao is 32, and nearing the end of his career. He likely has 3-5 fights left at the most. He is a household name, and he will make money regardless of the outcome. This "cash cow" argument could be applied to someone up and coming like Tim Bradley. Guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao aren't going to stop producing money as a result of a loss to the other best fighter in the game. I just saw a show that ACTUALLY did some research. In the last year, between fights and endorsements, Pacquiao made $46 million. Mayweather made $62 million. So please just shut up about how little or much these guys make, and how much they deserve in a fight. They are the two biggest names in the sport. Equally.

I'm tired of people on either side making up ****** ish to slander the other guy. I'm a huge Pacquiao fan, and I'm pissed that this fight isn't happening. I blame both fighters, and I think it's a joke that Pac is going to fight Cotto again.

This fight needs to happen, and if it doesn't then both Pacquiao and Mayweather are equally to blame.
im absolutely down with this post

                  Are you really only 18yo?

I mean, please don't be offended, or take my question the wrong way.

A lot of young guys on this site, I just cant take very seriously..... experience is the key to everything in life, and boxing can be an overly-complicated sport.

But you seem to have no problem at all with.....
a.) Assessing ALL of the information
b.) Excluding EVERYTHING that cannot be accurately labeled as fact
c.) Forming an unbiased conclusion after summarising the legitimate facts and assessing the other information in context

So, we have 18yo's who are capable of standing back and assessing the situation, before making thoughtful reasoned comments..... and we also have 30-40 yo's who are carrying on like kids and losing their rag over this.

I get the feeling that if that deadline still had another week to go, some of these guys would be sitting in the corner rubbing their own faeces all over the wall by the time this thing unfolded.

Thanks for your last 3-4 posts, good job man.

He said other promoters don't promote their fighters well. He said they take the money from HBO or Showtime and make it sound like they are doing their fighters a favor. They don't invest any of their own money, aren't willing to sponsor any PPVs or take any risks.

I think he is right. I think Timothy Bradley, Andre Berto, Devon Alexander and Paul Williams are as talented or more talented than Miguel Cotto. The difference is that Arum did a great job of promoting Cotto. He was willing to take risks, lose money, sponsor his own PPV shows with Cotto headlining them and do whatever it took to build him as an attraction. I think Cotto is a good, not great fighter, who has been promoted very well and now has the undeserved reputation of a boxing superstar because of that promotion (I said the same thing about Oscar De La Hoya). Bradley, who also is a good talent, has not been promoted well. His promoter, along with the promoters of all the other fighters I mentioned, simply take whatever dates and money HBO and Showtime and the casinos are willing to give them and give their fighters a cut of the money. If they were promoted the way Arum has promoted Cotto, Paul Williams and Timothy Bradley and Berto would be at the same level as Cotto is right now.
I agree with your point on the promotion topic. But you cant say Cotto isn't a great fighter. Cotto's only real loss was to Pacuiao(#1 lb for lb). He was not only beating Margarito but he was destroying him for the first 6 rounds. We all know he used illegal handwraps in that fight. Cotto was getting hit by bricks that fight and still managed to last up until the 11th. Take that loss away and you have Cotto with only one defeat. Look at his resume, he's not only fought the best competition but he's destroyed most of them. The guy is a great fighter who still is a threat to anybody who steps into the ring with him. I still to this day believe Mayweather wouldnt last 12 rounds with Cotto and that's why he's avoided Cotto for the last 5 years.
