A tune up against an opponent he wasn't even fighting at his natural weight. Mayweather could have atleast fought a decent WW, not a blown up one. The fight was won before it even started.

i'm not dis*****g that , i was just responding to a poster who said marquez called floyd out so thats why he fought him , well katsidis called out anthony mundine , you don't expect mundine to actually take the fight do you ? lol , marquez was a tune up / money fight that's all , not because of someone challenging floyd , there were other welters who would have been more than happy to fight floyd then

It says a lot when Mayweather could go away for 2 years comeback and fight JMM and 9 months later we still have fans crying over it.

Yup retired because he wanted no part of Cotto/Margs he knew if he retired it was the easy way out. Two years laters he comes back and fights an old, blown up Marquez who never had a chance before the word go, and to top it all of he pulled a ***** move on the scales.

Truth be said, Mayweather let Pacquiao do the dirty work for him by fighting Cotto because he wanted no part of him, nore did Mayweather want anything to do with big Margs.
