Why did Mayweather take a fight with Marquez?

What was the point in this fight? It was a no reward fight for Mayweather, and by fighting Marquez he achieved nothing. We all knew Marquez was out of his depth including Mayweather yet the fight went ahead..

it was a tune up against a name fighter so i won't give him too much **** about it but to cheat on the scales against said tune up was a low move

A tune up against an opponent he wasn't even fighting at his natural weight. Mayweather could have atleast fought a decent WW, not a blown up one. The fight was won before it even started.

Yet he had to cheat the scales which was a ***** move, and even sadder it was against a blown up opponent. What does that tell you?

because he can't fight a legitimate welterweight for the lack of balls

It was no reward? Am sure 1.1 Million buy says its all reward for a comeback fight.

It says a lot when Mayweather could go away for 2 years comeback and fight JMM and 9 months later we still have fans crying over it.
