why would tua waste his ranking fighting a top contender? he is already the mandatory wbo challenger for the winner of wlad\povetkin....it baffles me that none of you see this...he is #2 in wbo! not one # 2 ranked guy in any organization has risked his ranking since jameel mccline did it a few years back.he risked his ranking vs calvin brock & lost.brock got a shot at wlads ibf title after....deal with it people, this is how boxing works.i dont like it but with the $$$$ thats at stake for tua ,its not a risk worth taking.besides from what i understand tua needs money after all his assets were frozen since his court battle with kevin barry.

I hate that mentality. If you're a worthly title challenger and want to be champion that you should be able to beat some top contenders. The worst case scenario here would be Tua just waits out until he gets the title shot. Hopefully HBO will offer some good $$ for a Arreola or Sam Peter fight against him later this year...

it wont happen & if it did kudos to tua. hes waited for a long time for another crack at a title. its the present & recent champions who wont take the risk fighting him, just like bloodworth said.when tua lost to byrd & had a draw with rahman in the title eliminators it gave the world champions reason to avoid him.hes not going to let another chance pass him by.while guys like barrett(2 shots),golota(4 shots),mccline(4shots),oquendo(2shots)& more recently sosnowski & kingpin get shots a titles, hes had to sit & watch.lets not forget tua beat 4 former world champions by knockout(moorer, maskaev, rahman, riuz)& still doesnt get a sniff.ruiz & moorer combined lasted 50 second with him! i didnt see ruiz, rahman or maskaev lining up to give him a title shot.if there is a challenger worthy of a title shot it DAVID TUA! he must stay on course with a win tonight, although id like it to be a 12 round decision so i can collect 100000 points...lol!

Tua v. Rahman III is a good next fight. If Tua can punch out Rahman faster than Vlad Klit, he'll get his title shot. But Rahman was winning their first fight when it was stopped, and he deserved the nod in their 2nd when they drew.

as i said earlier tua has won 2 wbo regional titles to earn a top wbo ranking.hes not going to fight rahman until after he gets his mandatory shot.he would have to be the ******est guy on the planet to risk it.not one champion past or present would make a voluntary vs tua.hes in position as a mandatory for the winner of sasha\wlad.id love to see a 3rd fight but it makes no sense for tua to risk it.if rahman wants a title shot he needs to do what tua did & go win a regional title or 2 like the nabf or wbc continental americas title to get himself a top 10 ranking in one of the sanctioning bodies & then take it from there.tua played it smart with a wbo asian pacific title win & another minor title which shot his ranking to#2.rahman should do the same.john banks owns the nabf & when tua gets his shot as mandatory challenger he will vacate his 2 minor belts leaving those titles vacant for others to fight for them & give someone else a chance leap frog guys up the wbo rankings.these minor belts are more important than 95% of the posters here realize.

hmmm we're talking about being number 2 (not 8,9 or 12), being number 2 when he isn't ranked at all in the other organizations top 15 ??? come on.......

he is either ranked too high in the WBO, or too low in the other organizations, or he shouldn't be ranked at all

the sanctionning bodies are known for being crooked after all......
