How much time and effort does it take to go dig a balled up old contract out of the trash?They never answered calls from top rank & ross greenburg who was mediating negotiations for this fight. It seems like it was only top rank who was putting in all the time & effort to make this fight happen. Where was team mayweather? Where was GBP?
How many excuses has it been now?
1. Cutoff date/random drug testing.
2. Roger going to jail. Cant fight without Roger.
3. Tax purposes. Cant fight again this year. will get taxed too much. wait till next year.
4. Floyd is taking another retirement. Disappoints the make a wish kid.
Arum put it out there the best he can. Floyd/team mayweather refuses to answer arum or greenburg. So arum gives him a deadline hoping the sporting public will reach him. PtI & Around the Horn even made time for boxing to call floyd out.
Im disgusted by this. On both sides really. It would have been the perfect time to announce the fight. world cup is over. no nba. no college football, basketball, no nba season, lebron watch over, middle of baseball season.

Floyd never bothered to reach out to top rank. Instead he's busy clubbing in miami not getting drunk while not hanging out with females.

Top Rank will publically appear to 'engage' in 'negotiations' with the Golden Boy/Mayweather end of things, then they'll go and fight Margarito and do their best to fuel some perception that all Floyd's terms were granted, that Top Rank bent over for him, that it was all laid out for him but that he simply didn't want to fight. BAWWWWW, let's all bow the world's tiniest violin for Top Rank, who only wanted nothing more all along than to put their prize moneymaker in a ring with a guy who will systematically dismantle him and expose all his technical, mental and fortitudinal flaws and leave him a shell of his former self.

floyd mayweather was a presented a contract (an easy fight which could have netted 40 mil) and he decided to hide. stop painting rainbows and conspiracy theories behind it. It takes a xerox machine to reproduce or bring up the old contract, re-represent it and agree to it.

The only reason this fight is impossible to make is the size of the fight itself as an event, everything that's involved in making it, the mentality of both sides, not least the nefarious traits of the worthless Zionist **** representing Pacquiao and supplying a sure and steady stream of horse-**** to gullible, fanboy simps like you who eat it up with a spoon. It's nothing to do with the level of challenge Pacquiao represents. He isn't even the challenge to Mayweather. Floyd will kick Pacquiao's ass around the ring like Brazilian slum-kids kick soccerballs made of rags around barrio streets. Floyd needs great bigger men, that's when he'll be challenged or beaten, not by a limited guy his own size like Pacquiao.

I don't remember who posted that thread about Floyd just pretending to want the fight. But the poster was accurate.
From day one of the first negotiations the Mayweather camp had played hard ball considering that they were the ones who planted the seeds of this fight.
Last year Arum went to Manila to tell Pacquiao that Floyd with GBP's backing was interested in a March fight. It seems clear now that Arum was simply too naive at the time to realize that it was a ploy hatched by the Mayweather camp merely to test the waters the fact that they knew Pac can't possibly say yes considering he had just been in a "difficult fight" with Cotto a few weeks earlier -- a fight that resulted in a busted eardrum, which would take about a year to heal, according to Roach. Mayweather camp also knew that Pac was thick into Philippine politics. In addition, it was also uncharacteristic of Floyd to set a date as early as March.
But Pacquiao said "yes". Which obviously surprised Team Mayweather. Later, Arum scouted for a venue, arranged an appointment with Jerry Jones, only to be refused by FM camp at the last minute...
