the whole point of the conference call was to extend the "negotiating period" without hurting both fighters' reputations. it's a good sign, if anything - for them.

bob arum should be commended for trying to make the fight. he exhausted available avenues to make the agreement even thru Ross Greenburg (HBO), the executive of the one which telecasts fights and 24/7 series. even they wanted the fight to happen that they bypassed GBP, which botched the first negotiation. bob went on to reach out to the same person who he thinks floyd listens to, Al Haymon, but to no avail. Floyd doesnt really want to fight manny, accept that, nobody can do anything about it, even al haymon. we should not blame floyd, he doesnt care what people thinks, even what his fans feels. he only cares for PBF. thats a fact, hes the one who said that. so accept it, he doesnt want to fight pacquiao, dont blame him, leave him alone, hes got enough. you also have your own fears..

did you hear what arum said before dan rafael came in the second time around? it was hilarious! and then rafael dug deep into arum's skin and arum virtually admitted this is a promotional game. arum used so much damn legalese it reminded how crappy the justice system is

Is there anyone more disingenuous in the sport than Arum? Its a shame how this **** is perpetuated as being legit. Way to get out ahead of the story and run your mouth and speculate about nothing and let people in the media do your dirty work. Arum didn't have to get out and talk about Floyd this time when everyone and their brother got wind of Arum's proposed "deadline" to Floyd, everyone jumped on board and called Floyd a coward, i.e. Michael Wilbon. Mayweather wants more than before and this was a way for Arum to act like Pac agreed to all the demands, what a joke. He sure is raking in the dough using all his own fighters, I'll give the sly bastard that much. I was hoping to see Pac give Floyd a run for his money but now if this thing ever goes down I hope Floyd embarrases him. I can't root for anyone who would do buisness with that crooked ****. Very true. I think it shows that Arum really wants the fight. As opposed to him saying all kinds of bullcrap to sway public opinion when the first negotiations broke down.

Im no big fan of any promoter, but it kind of makes me laugh when people hate on Arum. They put all sorts of effort into calling him names and what not but fail to realize he's accomplished his job by MAKING them pay attention to what he says. Nobody has to like him, but the guy is a great promoter and has been for the better part of 40 years.
