Arum lied when he said that all terms had been agreed upon between him and GBP (shocking that Bob Arum would lie) and all the idiots on this site and the haters in the media bought his line of bull**** hook, line and sinker.

Big J when you read the transcript of the whole call you get the vibe that not even fat ass Dan Rafael believed Bob's ass. None of the press seemed to be believing the BS Bob was trying to sell. Even his funboy G.Leon.

Thanks for the information. I can't wait to read the entire transcript, and watch the squirming and excuse-making of all the Pac worshippers on this site who have been riding Floyd's ass for the last two weeks.

Pac has nothing to hurt either guy with so, I don't think it's a fight he should take. Martinez is becoming one of my favorite fighters right now and I think he does a number on Pac. Too big and too talented. I would like to see him fight Bradely or Berto. This Cotto and Margarito only helps Bobs pockets. Manny gets his 8th with Cotto but, that's the only good that will come out of this.

evrybody knows roger to floyd is not like freddie to manny!

and i dont understand old man bob.
since when did he become floyd's apologist??

"The problem is that Floyd, for whatever reason -- and I’m sure he had some valid reasons -- didn’t want to commit," Arum said.
Get an understanding...Floyd doesn't watch tape (supposedly) Roger get's the game play same as Roach. I would not expect Manny to fight with out Roach or the little fat guy in his corner. It's a mental thing and in the biggest fight of their life you need your mind to be clear and focused. We don't want excused if either loses.

                • FLOYD held everyone up for nothing.. Waste of time waiting for him.

FLOYD's dad was went to jail in the early 90's for being a druglord and trafficking drugs, now FLOYD's uncle is going to court for an ASSAULT charge.. Dang, this doesn't look that good on FLOYD. But if this is the reason not to accept the fight, he should have said so 3 weeks ago.

                    • It's impossible to know what's really happening until we hear something from Floyd's camp. The only fact provided by Arum's conference call was that there's no deal. Unless corroborated, everything else was spin. i.e. we got nothing new.

I think this drama is just a symptom of having the wrong parties managing the sport: broadcasters and promoters. I'd like to see a visionary fighters' union overseeing rankings, pensions, transparency in matchmaking, purse splits, etc. Broadcasters and promoters should be business PARTNERS given the privilege to bid on fights mandated by the union who are looking after the long term interests of the sport and its members.

Dang it, I hate it that Top Rank is able to push Paq/Cotto II.
