ESPN: Deadline at 12AM PST is not a hardened deadline; negotiations could go on.

Most of you probably saw this, but for those who didn't, Brian Kenny and Dan Rafael said negotiations will continue should Mayweather want to "continue" to negotiate.

In layman's terms, tonight's deadline isn't really a deadline, but merely forcing Mayweather to sound off on whether he's still interested to fight Pacquiao or not. Video and article to come.

It almost feels like a parent who says "This is the last time I'm going to tell you!"... for the fifth time. Seemed like a real threat, now it doesn't seem to be much of anything. I don't get it. This whole thing doesn't make sense to me, either side.

It has to do with timing, because there's only so much time left for this fight to happen due to Pacquiao's ventures in politics and Mayweather's content with what he has done in this boxing, and Arum knows it. He probably has this last chance for a mega bout of epic proportions.

If its not hardened, then its not a deadline period.

Why even hold a conference if that's the case?

This **** just keeps going in a circle

tonight's deadline is if Floyd wants to fight this November. Otherwise, negotiations will continue, but for a May 2011 fight date

One more, Floyd. One more statement.

No. negotiations could continue for a NOVEMBER fight.

Keep in mind that Pac fought Cotto in mid-november...and that fight was announced in late July.
