No matter what you think of Hopkins, it was entirely his fault this fight didn't come off. Roy said 60/40 split, having beaten Hopkins already, but Hopkins didn't sign when it came down to it. I'm a fan of both, but Hopkins prevented this one from happening.

Im actully happy it didnt happen. A loss for one of them would suck big time. It was too early for RJJ too lose and Hopkins had his number of defence going. Im happy to have witnessed B-hop beaten a record then beating rjj. And I think that's what those two really thought about. Not the cash but none of their egos wanted to ruin their carrers.Comment

I think you are overduing what happened in there first fight. You act like Roy dominated him. He won like 8 rounds to 4 but all of them were close but Roy was just more defined then. Hop handnt been out of jail too long and didnt know all that much. I still to this day think it was Roy's toughest fight up until he lost. add to that the fact that Hopkins wouldve been much better the second time and he couldve won.Originally posted by scapDo you think he would have fought Roy like he fought Holmes?
I want to see it if thats the case but I just cant see Nard doing that, he never wanted to fight Roy again style wise it was not his kind of fight.
I think you still had to favor Roy because he also improved and was much bigger.
Actually I do think that Hopkins wouldve fought Roy the same way as Holmes. Why wouldnt he? Thats the only chance he has. He fought all his fights that way until TitoComment
