yah true that floyd jr looks out for his health, hence the use of XYLOCAINE for his hands and not wanting to comply to catchweight against marquez...does any the use of XYLOCAINE and non compliance to a catchweight makes for an even playing field? what happened to the even playing field that floyd jr is so concerned about?

But it's to their detriment if they do. From reading columns not just on this site, 99.9% of the major sporting publications out there are placing the onus on Mayweather to make this fight happen, public perception is that he is viewed based on his behavior as an "entitled" diva, who always wants things his way. That's not inspiring to people, sooner or later those dollars may in fact dry up, but he's got a built in audience and it isn't mainstream, rather he's cornered the urban market and I don't see them stopping their support of him irrespective of what he decides to do.
