Everytime I point out that Wlad Klitschko has been stopped in two of his last six fights and hasn't beaten anyone meaningful inbetween or since, some Wlad fan points out:
"Hey, its the IBF's rankings, they make the decisions, not us".
Well here you go.
They made a decision, and since Wlad Klitschko has no business being anywhere near a title fight after getting embarassed in two of his last six fights, this is bittersweet.

...Based on the initial info that the judge suggested that Wlad and Williamson fight it out, I figured this case was a foregone conclusion.
Since the Klitschko fight, Williamson has fought for a IBF ranking against Jefferson and fought Oliver McCall and Klitshcko has fought a blown up Cuban that carried no significance.
The whole situation would be looked at differently if Klitscko fought the same opponents as Williamson. Everybody knows Wlad going to court is a ***** move.
No different than what Lennox Lewis has done on more than one occasion. Would you call him a ***** for that? Probably not. Nothing but a double standard from certain fans view points.
Now that this has been resolved, is Chris Byrd going to put his belt up against Williamson? If he doesn't then the IBF is nothing but a bunch of puppets. That mother****er Byrd has been milking this belt for the longest time. I hope he fights Williamson and TOS kicks the **** out of him.

...I will definitely be rooting for TOS. Expect another BS decision win for Byrd though.
I believe this is great, I feel that Williamson was more deserving because he fought better opposition and was more active and the Klitschko fight was really insignificant in the decision. Either way, great move and I am excited to see Williamson vs Byrd, Williamson might actually be the one to steal it...Call me crazy but I think it will happen.
Also, it is about damn time the Klitschkos doesnt get there way. They are on a path to destruction...WBC is enforcing Vitali to fight the winner of the Barret/Rahman fight.
I was referring to after their fight not over their whole career.
Why does it seem like no matter what, that the common fans of the klitchkos fail to read and interpet logic, logic says, Wlad hasnt been that active, logic says, recently TOS has been relatively active fighting higher opposition, not so much hes beaten better fighters in his career, just recently, hes been more active.

i think wlad fans might point out two things actually.
1. wlad has beaten williamson. so according to your statement, williamson isnt anyone meaningful, yet you think hes more deserving of a title shot, thats funny, you contradict yourself.
2. williamson was knocked "out cold" in the 1st round by joe mesi, which is absolutely embarassing. i hope somebody can throw up the pic of TOS asleep on his back in the middle of the ring.
i think this decision goes to show how afraid don king is of wladamir klitschko. obviously at the very least there should be a rematch for the number 1 ranking. instead they have given the shot to TOS, i think he will beat Byrd narrowly and it will allow Byrd to retire without having been embarrassed by wlad.
wlad klitschko will be an annoying name to non-fans for a long time for this reason. He will never be consistent enough to be a champion for an extended period and he will never unify, yet he will always have the potential to beat anyone he steps in the ring with and will probably hold belts here and there for the rest of his career. (If he ever gets a shot again)
