How is FLOYD going to get the award when we still have HALF the year of 2010 remaining?!?!

Because the ESPY's ceremony has been conducted on the Wednesday in July following the Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game, since 2002.

The voting for the ESPY award only goes from July of the previous year, to July of the next year. So Floyd being retired for two years previous, has nothing to do with this years vote. It's not like he won the award during one of the years he was retired.
