I agree that he's gotten his share of criticism over the years, but considering this fight is still in the interest of a lot of casual fans who don't log into a Boxing site to find out what's going on, this doesn't necessarily help Floyd. For all we know, he could sign. But it's hard to justify why he wouldn't fight Pacquiao now being he was willing to go ahead before with only drug testing being the issue. Now that the drug testing issues seem to be out the window, the general public (who also knew about the drug testing drama) are going to be very curious as to why Floyd won't go ahead with the fight. We may have our own opinions, but the general consensus is going to look as if Floyd doesn't want the fight. I believe if the roles were reversed many of the the Mayweather fans would be in an uproar to why Pacquiao hasn't made any statement or signed calling HIM a coward or scared.

I don't care what no Pac fan or Mayweather hater says....... Top Rank
looks desperate to land this fight OR just desperate to make people
believe that they want to. When was the last time that someone
negotiated like this through the media in boxing? We had a "Mayweather
has till this day" deadline story for WEEKS! Why would you want to put
pressure on a guy you want to do business with? On top of that. If
Arum has Cotto/Margarito as options, why all the fuss about Mayweather?
I feel that people thinking Floyd is scared to fight Pac is over doing it
just a lil. Arum and Konz are making asses out of themselves. Their
talking about we're not worried about Mayweather but he has to sign?
Either you give a F**K or you don't. Just don't try to make me believe
      that you do.
      What a total CopOUT !!

If this had been Pac you would have scorned him !!

If this is business on Mayweathers part its sic business. Pac has agreed to all the demands of Mayweather until he can come up with some more. It looks like he is digging for more !!!

Actually this is the biggest duck in the history of Boxing !!!!!!!!

Arum has every right to set a deadline. All he's asking for is a yes or no off Mayweather. If he says no they want time to promote & arrange a fight with either Margarito & Cotto. Its got nothing to do with Mayweather being the best fighter in the world they just cant wait around for him forever. If Mayweather does want the fight then sign or if he doesnt agree with the terms or doesnt want to fight again this year fair enough but why not just come out & declare his intentions

This is exactly why there was a deadline imposed. If the fight is signed everybody gets paid and gets to be a part of history. Plus, the advantage of possibly fighting Floyd without his corner. Anybody that knows the details of Rogers case, knows that Roger is in trouble. If the fight is not signed, like Ravishing stated- the general consensus is going to look at it as if Floyd doesn't want the fight. Good business sav.

Bob and his antics are a joke....... how the hell has he been telling everybody about Rogers legal issues.... B.S.

All he has been saying is deadline, deadline, deadline...

              What a joke

All they are asking for is a yes or no answer. If Floyd doesn't want to fight then just say no I'll wait till next year. Im a floyd fan but I also like pac. In my opinion pac would beat floyd but you never know.

I don't really get the big deal, pretty much Arum came out with the we have a deal statement but temepered it by saying well Floyd hasn't really agreed. From there nothing has been said by Floyd's side so either A) the offer was unacceptable (but judgeing by what is being said that may not be it) B) he doesn't want to fight this year for whatever reason (I could seee not going into the biggest fight without the man that has trained you for a long ass time or just not fighting this year because he doesn't feel it) or C) this is all planned out and they are meant to fight in May (or this is all a smokescreen and Floyd signs it would be fairly suprising but hey it is boxing).

Really though we know half of a conversation, I don't think that conversation went that badly based on what is getting said by Top Rank though (Arum would be acting way different if things were heated or there was a real problem).

Anyways though nothing seemed optimistic about the fight actualyl happeaning and I don't get how that really changes much for Floyd other than just putting him as even more hated by some, the fight fall apart this time is much smaller news thant he fight not happeaning the first time (the coverage that time was sick), if FLoyd survuved that first time I doubt this does much to him for bad (since there is no good to come out of a fight not comming off).
