    I only ever saw one fight from him, Tye Fields, and that one round KO made me a fan. You know you've been on boxingscene for a while if you remember idiots saying "When Tye Fields trips he KOs the ground." LOL guess not f@gs.

        Good last fight from Barrett and overall a solid career, not world class but a solid contender with a few good wins. His fight against Beck is worth a watch.

          I was at the Barrett/Mesi fight at the Garden, it was on the undercard of Klitschko/Johnson. Monte really does have a huge heart and that comment about not having to dig deep because he lays it all out is true. He was getting outfought and beat up and slowly turned the tide and, I thought, pulled it out against Baby Joe. He had a really good career and should be proud of himself.
