I'd be disappointed, for starters. I really want to see it. They are polar opposites in every way and I suspect we'd see an epic bout. If the fight doesn't push through I'd form my opinion on what they did. If Mayweather is offered a 50-50 deal and full testing, he should take it. I think that's fair to both parties. I see a lot of people claiming Floyd should get 60-40 (ridiculous)--if the purse split is what kills the bout, Floyd deserves full blame. If it's the testing that kills the bout, Manny deserves the same.

To refute what Arum is saying? Sure. I'm just not sure why everyone believes this is going to be done now. This is chess, not checkers. Team Mayweather didn't release a final statement until the Clottey bout was signed and delivered. Prior to that, we had heard they hadn't offered any 14 days and that Haymon was begging Floyd to take the fight. That's what Arum said. Then we found out a week later it was all BS. I think you see where I'm coming from.Comment

No, the haters don't see where you are coming from. They only see what they want to see. What they want to see is that Arum is the most honest person on the planet and would never lie; Arum has made nothing but good faith efforts to make a Mayweather/Pac fight, even though he lied about the first round of negotiations (ooops, Arum does not lie); Mayweather has acted like a spoiled brat for not graciously accepting whatever Arum offers since Mayweather has no fans, can't sell on PPV and can't make any money unless the god of boxing, Bob Arum, decides to bless him with a few dollars; Pac is the greatest fighter in history who doesn't care about money and whose only desire in boxing is to please his billions of fans; Pac's fans want him to fight Margarito or a Cotto rematch if the Mayweather fight falls through instead of fighting Paul Williams, Timothy Bradley, Andre Berto, Devon Alexander or Shane Mosley; Floyd Mayweather is a coward, ducker, a handpicker of opponents, scared of Pac, can't take a punch, waited until Mosley got old before he fought him even if he offered a fight to Mosley twice in the last 11 years; and last, but not least, FLOYD MAYWEATHER IS THE ANTI-CHRIST!Comment

But what worries me is that Arum and alot of people are saying Floyd doesnt want ot fight this year, so i think if anything kills it, it will be that the fight is this year.
If thats the actual reason i will be pissed because there was no reason to even negotiate this year and getting everyones hopes up.Comment

And for the record I will more than likely change my screen name several times more, because that's just what I like to do. Matter a fact I'ma bout to rock "-Top Rank-" again.Comment

My reply has nothing to do with the fight happening or not. I could give a ****, but rather I was speaking on you guys claim that the general public would blame Pac for this fight falling apart. Again if the fight doesn't happen then the general public (casual fans etc) will blame Floyd 100%. I don't think that is fair, but this is what I told you guys would happen.

You forgot to add that if the fight falls through, they will be content to watch Pacquiao face a Margarito or Cotto II (really?) but demand Floyd fight Williams, Martinez, Bradley or else he's a coward--the same guys Manny isn't required to face. These are the *******s, of course. Real boxing fans, come out from under them.Comment

I hear it was 50-50 and Full testing, which i do think it is.....

BTW, it's not 50-50 FULL testing, it's with a 14-day cutoff. At least that's what I hear and I sincerely hope I'm wring because it'll be a goddamn shame if Manny Pacquiao would rather fight Antonio Margarito then take one or two extra tests.Comment

Of course. But since Pac has completely ignored that and has already narrowed his options to Margarito & Cotto, shouldn't he be taken to task for it? Matter of fact, shouldn't you be leading the charge?Comment
