My farther was the biggest boxing fan from 1960-1990 knew every fighter and Ali was his hero, but he didnt know who Pacquiao was until he fought De La Hoya, just like PTI. They dont know any fighters in today's boxing. Ask them if they know who P Will is or Berto. Ask them who Arthur Abraham is they probably dont even know any of the super 6.

However, I would say this... If they are on national TV and show a rubber chicken claiming to be Floyd. And, calling him a coward...

Casual fans will buy that **** up...

Fair or not fair they would believe it... When they say that Pac agreed to the OST. Not clarifying if it was 14 days or up to that fight...

I got a question: If the lineal title holder doesn't hold a belt like the WBC, WBA, etc, and a guy beats him, is that guy considered a champ at that weight? Meaning will history recognize him as a champ at that weight as they do for Pac for 7 weight classes?

If no, then there really is no point like I said.

If yes, then it still wouldn't be more valuable than the other belts because there is no extra incentive for boxers to sought that belt over other belts.

just like to add that wilbon & ryan dont control everything at their show. they have producers & bosses. i mean from that video you can clearly hear wilbon say that "bob me & you have covered boxing for a while." boxing has been a niche sport for awhile. just because they dont cover boxing 24/7 doesnt mean they dont know the sport.
