Marquez has more technical skill, but at this point in his career,Katsidis might be the better fighter!!If Marquez stays sharp & has the counter working with the uppercut as well,he should be able to win in an exciting fight!!But if Katsidis turns the fight into a brawl, bad things can happen for Marquez!!I still think he has a better chance of beating Katsidis than beating Khan!!

Oh yeah, he has almost no chance vs Khan, it would be Khan vs Barrera all over again

I think it will turn out similar to Marquez - Juan Diaz. But Katsidis has more power, so if he can catch him like Diaz did early in the first fight, it might get interesting. I don't think he has the boxing skills to do so though. Don't get me wrong, I think very highly of Katsidis, one of the few throwback-fighters out there and a class guy, but Marquez is too skilled for him.

Yes. It looks like it's going to happen. ...It's one of the few I really want to see right now. It looks like Marquez/Katsidis in November. I think we're in for a treat, gentlemen.

We seen this fight before, it was called Katsidis/Casamayor. Seriously though, both Kats and Marquez have improved over the years. So this fight is still pretty interesting match-up which probably can go either way. My heart wants Katsidis to win, but my brain says a competitive match up with Katsidis getting stopped in the later rounds.

I used to not see Katsidis as an elite lightweight, but I've changed my mind. I see him in a different light now. I don't think he's a "great" fighter but I think of him as a top shelf lightweight for this crop.

Yet, I've heard several people say, and I am inclined to go with it, that Kat could be a very tough stylistic match-up for Marquez at this weight, at his age. I never thought Katsidis was a special fighter, but he's an aggressive powerhouse and he's not without the skill to be effective. I think Marquez will stop Diaz again if he's not shot and more shot than Diaz, but I''m on the fence about Marquez/Katsidis even if Marquez looks good with Diaz. What do you think? Does Katsidis have a very good chance to finally get a real strap (as well as THE title) against JMM? Do any of you actually favor him in this match-up?
Katsidis is special, because he has that ability to give you a transcendent experience, win or lose. Similarly to how Gatti was special - although Katsidis' career isn't on that level of Mythology and Legend yet, he's certainly on the way to that kind of a body of work.

Other than that, I agree totally.

If Marquez finds he can't hurt him purely through counter punching he's gonna be in for a long night. JMM gassed a bit against Diaz (II) and I expect this one to be a lot more grueling than that was.

I think it'll go to the cards and be a close one either way, and I could see BOTH of them suffering knock-downs.
