BILD.DE today writes that the showdown of the giants has fallen through.

"I presume that the fight between Vitali Klitschko and Nikolai Valuev is off", Klitschko manager Bernd Bönte says.

Vitali Klitschko had offered 1.2 M euros to Valuev. Easily the biggest purse of his career. Valuev wanted it. Co-promotor Sauerland wanted it.
