It's not as if Pavlik was destroyed against Martinez, he won the middle rounds, dropped Martinez and fought hard until the end. Isn't Martinez an elite fighter that took P Will to the brink?

We can't have it both ways, if Jr. beats Pavlik, especially a guys who is naturally bigger and Roach already said he will try and fight at 154 to make Jr. even stronger and then agree to 160.....I think it would be a huge win for Jr.

It would give Jr. a great name in his resume and give Pavlik and opportunity to win on a big stage with a guy who will bring in viewership.
It would bump Jr up from mediocre to good if he beat Pavlik, but I have been saying that alot lately about the MW division and how it has been devoid of elite fighters since B-hop got old.

I mean a SWW is the MW champion right now.

I hear what your saying but your logic is a little bit twisted. We are talking strictly Jr. here, if he beats Pavlik, this will be a huge win for him. Say what you will but Pavlik is a strong puncher and I honestly can't believe that Roach and Jr agreed to this, it's a very risky fight.

Remember, Jr. can't lose because of the critics and everyone waiting for him to fail.

I think this is a testament to Roach's training and how he believes he can mold this kid from now till then.
