lol at Boxers now getting Credit for landing a big punch in one round, but fans overlook the fact that Mosley was DOMINATED for 12 rounds, it was the same thing with Zab, people still talk about how Zab had some success early in that fight and all of a sudden somehow they equate that to: "Mayweather struggles with Southpaws"

But neither time Floyd has been hurt has he been close to a KO.

This is why i said almost KO, my point is you dont "sit down on your knees" when your not hurt. Im NOT a Pacquiao or a Mayweather fan im a boxing fan. I started boxing in the 80s, in Montreal. When a boxer in front of you puts a knee on the canvas or sit down like floyd did you know hes hurt and 95% of the time he will honestly tell you after the fight that it did hurt badly. Leonard had the courage to say that EVERY punch by Duran felt like bricks ! That is one of the many reasons why Leonard is a ATG...

Is that why Manny avoided Shane?

Mayweather got tagged a few times against Judah and got kd....Corley caught Judah and hurt him and wobbled him. Both south paws. Neither of them on Pacs level.....

SSM didnt even catch Mayo good enough to drop him til the last round of thier fight, yet he catches Floyd in round TWO twice.....lol.....what ev.....denial.

marquez only landed one decent shot on floyd which did no damage. he hit pac almost at will and hurt him several times in both their fights.

thing is styles make fights, so none of it means much. and btw your mayorga comparison is just hilarious

The title of this thread is misleading.Mosely had Floyd hurt, but still couldn't get a knockdown (keep in mind counter-punchers usually take a few rounds to get a feel for their opponents and can get caught easier in the first few rounds generally than the mid-late rounds). If you watch 15 or so seconds after this,Floyd is composed and already starting to outbox Shane-and that is AFTER he had connected a fast and concussive blow on Floyd earlier in the round.

It seems that too much attention is paid on 1 round as opposed to the 10 rounds afterwards.Floyd turned Shane from a confident puncher to a hesitant punching bag with only his jab....and even when Shane was younger,Winky beat him with his jab,as well as Vernon Forrest.Shane is not shot at all, maybe he doesn't fight the same style as when he was younger, but neither does Floyd.

The knockdowns Manny caught Cotto with were more about speed and catching Cotto off balance (keep in mind that Cotto has poor balance as even his new trainer says and has been working on this).Cotto got up straight away and was not getting knocked out cold...

If you think the cotto pac fought and the one that fought Mosley are both the same you are naïve. Nobody gets their head hammered with bricks for 11 rounds and come out the same.

Exactly. Some people assume since Floyd has a masterful defense, he'll never get hit at least once in a fight.

Apparently, he hasn't been hit hard enough to at least be put on his butt.

Maybe Manny could finally offer the ultimate one punch answer to the Mayweather puzzle.
