Now why the hell would Floyd or Hatton want to go up to 147/154 for a fight with Cotto? There not the ones killing themselves to make weight just try and gain advantage.

imo Cotto doesn't look that impressive, I think that if Abdallev's eye wasnt swollen in the later rounds he could of taken it to Cotto and possible TKO'd him. I watched the fight twice on HBO, Cotto isn't a very accurate puncher...also Abdalluev isn't even that good of a fighter, and it wasnt exactly a cake-walk for Cotto.

They won't do it for Cotto, but they will do it for themself, Floyd already stated that he want to fight at 147 and it would be better (imo) for Cotto to fight him at that weight than at 140...Hatton is not killin himself to make weight? C'mon man he weight around 180 when he's not fighting...

Yeah he could fight Hatton at 140, but he should fight Floyd at 147+ where (maybe) floyd will loose some speed and power..

Why not fight him at 140? Is he scared?

Floyd started out at 130lbs now.

Scared of Floyd? Nah, he ain't scared he's just being realistic and he knows that he's not ready for Floyd yet...And at 147+ it would be a better fight for him…

Of course it would be a better fight for him there. I mean after all it would be 17lbs north of where Floyd started out at.

I don't think he's scared I think he's just waiting for the right time. Kind of like Ray Leonard waited for Hagler to go through all of those grueling fights before challenging him.

that aint sumthing to brag bout.

Cotto should show the world he can beat anyone. If he's doing wut Ray Leonard did, that's a shame IMO. No good.

Cant one PR fight bums like a Mexican for once? Why allways in a hurry to throw them in with the loins just to turn on them in the end.

yeah, but the only thing there is that cotto would have like 15 lbs over castillo, and cotto is a lot bigger, but castillo would make it the kind of fight that cotto has never seen or been in before...like castillo did diaz, he dirtied it up and wore him out. it would take a lot of grit to bust up a bigger cotto....good match up though, i'd like to see it.... they should have cotto step it up though, he does have a belt, and if you keep fighting guys that aren't of your supposedly caliber, when you step it up to a guy that is, your gonna fight like a lower caliber fighter and get beat, or get a gift and have controversy surround your career for a long while.
but all in all he needs to step it up...
i mean trinidad and de la hoya, they fought a lot of guys in there prime, why can't cotto??
