id like to see cotto vs jl castillo.. that guy would hurt cotto

I like Cotto, but he doesnt have enough power to keep Castillo off of him, Cotto would get violated. I don't understand why Cotto would fight Branco, is he a mandatory?

Oh please. Theres a big BIG differance in trhowing a kid in with Tito and just having him fight top ten guys. Cotto will learn absoulutley nothing by fighting guys like Branco. He's already had 24 pro fights combined with 100's of amature fights at the highest level. A guy like Branco will show him niothing he hasn't seen already.

Plus people forget that Vargas was not rushed into his fight with Tito. If he wasn't ready by then he never would have been ready. Vargas already owned wins over Winky Wright, Ike Quartey, Yori Boy Campas and Raul Marquez. Vargas had practically cleaned out the entire division already.

I dunno Cotto is already Cotto in ma opinion. His skills, power, speed etc, is like that and will be like that or quite similar to that even fo his fucha!


Cotto aint gonna PREPARE himself foreva. He won't get Floyd's speed and feet even if he fights 100 practice, tuneups wit no names. Cotto is ready, and it's jest his determination. Always been. Bring him gainst Mayweather and Hatton. It's all even fights anyways IMO!

Do you know a guy by the name of Erick "El Terrible" Morales? He had 26 pro fight b4 fighting Zaragoza (55-7-3) for the WBC Super Batamweight title and he's doing pretty well right now...

Morales also turned pro when he was 17 years old with no amature experiance. 4 years and 26 fights into his career he was a world champion.

Miguell Cotto had hundreds of amature fights at the highest level, 24 pro fights and 5 years into his career is still fighting guys like Branco.

Why not Ricky Hatton? I think Cotto would be a favorite in thst fight. However I dont think Hatton's people are really that anxious to do that.


I would love to see him fight Emanuel Agustus. Agustus is 100x better than his record shows so dont give me that crap. Now Agustus would show him some things that he could learn from.

Man I forgot bout Augustus, that would be a much better fight for Cotto than Branco...And Hatton, the only way I see Cotto going over there is if the offer him a huge payday...

He would be an opponent with a lot of natural talent though, and it seems that Cotto's been facing more and more bruiser types of opponents lately (N'Dou, Abdullaev, Bailey). Maybe you're right but I think Branco would show something a bit different as well...even if he is a pushover.
