He suspects Paq is on something because he is so arrogant that he cant believe anyone other than himself can come from 106 to 147 and still be good, Floyd grew up surrounded by boxing and professional fighters his entire life, he had more experience in the sweet science by the age of 16 than Paq did by the age of 24, that is about the time Roach realized he had a diamond in the rough and started polishing it, if Paq had been raised in Floyds environment he would be undefeated, if Floyd had been raised in Paq's environment, he would not be undefeated. Floyd and his more diehard fans do not understand the concept of self improvement.

      That was sick.

"Show me in the Nevada Athletic Commission where it says that"

      lol

Then the total silence and redirect when Baracuda did it.

Not even enough manhood to say "wow...so it does say that"

      Epic.
Funny how you guys are saying I'm "owned" but can't seem to grasp that Manny did indeed go ABOVE the commission against Cotto. Cotto got a guarantee of 4 million against Manny. Manny put in the contract that for EVERY pound Cotto were to go over he would be fined a million bucks. The NSAC rules state that a fighter can be penalized UP TO 25% of his purse for missing weight. Now, 25 % of 4 milli is 1 milli if Miguel were a pound over. HOWEVER, if he were to go 2 pounds over, per his agreement with Manny, he would be fined HALF of his purse which EXCEEDS the rules of the NSAC (UP TO 25% of a fighter's purse, remember?). Hence, Manny made up his OWN rules and went above and beyond the NSAC in regards to overweight penalties.

EDIT: Miguel got a 4 million dollar guaranteed purse against Manny.
In crafting the deal that is allowing Saturday night's Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto welterweight championship bout, promoter Bob Arum provided guaranteed purses of $7.5 million to Pacquiao and $4 million to Cotto.

The contract also allowed the promoter to extend his deals with each fighter. Cotto is now under contract with Arum's Top Rank company until the end of 2011, Arum said, and Pacquiao's Top Rank deal was extended until the end of 2012.

What about Pacquiao going against the commission with excessive weight penalties?

        The principle is the same.

Also thanks for making a biased poll, that really helps doesn't it?

Who makes the punishment? The commission or the fighter?

NAC 467.522 Forfeiture for failure to make weight. (NRS 467.030)

                1. An unarmed combatant who fails to make the weight agreed upon in his bout agreement forfeits:

                (a) Twenty-five percent of his purse if no lesser amount is set by the Commission’s representative; or

                (b) A lesser amount set by the Executive Director and approved by the Commission,

Ê unless the weight difference is 1 pound or less.

                2. A forfeit must be divided equally between the other unarmed combatant and the Commission.

                3. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 3 of NAC 467.476 and subsection 2 of NAC 467.7956, if, during the 1 hour following the time of weighing in, an unarmed combatant is able to make the weight or weighs 1 pound or less outside the agreed limits, no forfeit may be imposed or fine assessed upon him.

                [Athletic Comm’n, § 17, eff. 4-25-78]—(NAC A 12-13-82; 11-2-88; 12-2-97; R070-01, 8-31-2001; R090-07, 12-4-2007)

as you can see pac can not charge 10 million for 1 pound over its against commission rules. not to mention the agreed purse for the last contract was 25 million to each fighter the 40 million was estimated at each fighter recieving 15 million from ppv revenue which is circumstantial. end thread. read the damn rule *******s it has to be over 1 pound over the agreed weight to charge the 25% just 1 pound is not enough to charge 25%.
