Its 1.25 milli. But that doesn't answer my question. The contract said that Cotto would get fined a million for EVERY pound he was over 145. If he WAS over ONE pound, 25% of his purse (5 milli) would be MORE than 1 milli. In addition, if he were to be over 2 lbs and weighed in at 147, that means, he would get fined 2 million. Again, if his purse was a 5 milli, then 2 milli would be MORE than 25% of his purse. WHICH shows you, that Manny went ABOVE the commission and added his OWN weight penalty.
do you think floyd fighting pac under commsion rules is unfair?

WEBB......
Just accept the raping.
Dang.
That was sick.
"Show me in the Nevada Athletic Commission where it says that"
lol
Then the total silence and redirect when Baracuda did it.
Not even enough manhood to say "wow...so it does say that"
Epic.Comment

Pac hasn't made weight before, should he be fined 10 million per fraction over???? Seems like his fans forgot,or maybe they haven't followed his career before the Oscar fight.
The excessive weight penalty was from Pacquiao, not the commission.Last edited by damned1974; 07-14-2010, 03:59 AM.Comment

Funny how you guys are saying I'm "owned" but can't seem to grasp that Manny did indeed go ABOVE the commission against Cotto. Cotto got a guarentee of 4 million against Manny. Manny put in the contract that for EVERY pound Cotto were to go over he would be fined a million bucks. The NSAC rules state that a fighter can be penalized UP TO 25% of his purse for missing weight. Now, 25 % of 4 milli is 1 millie if Miguel were a pound over. HOWEVER, if he were to go 2 pounds over, per his agreement with Manny, he would be fined HALF of his purse which EXCEEDS the rules of the NSAC (UP TO 25% of a fighter's purse, remember?). Hence, Manny made up his OWN rules and went above and beyond the NSAC in regards to overweight penalties.Comment

You left out the special rules pac has imposed on fighters. When pac is the draw he gets to set the rules. When he is not he doesn't. Thats no difference for any boxer ever.Comment

the commission do more than test fighters for steroids, they also punish fighters who fail to make weight.
pac needs to stop being a hypocrite, if hes gonna make floyd pay 10million dollars for every half a pound hes overweight rather then let the commission do their job. then he cant complain about floyd wanting extra testing. so considering pacs own demands floyds demands are very fair.
pac cant make his own rules when it suits him then ***** about how other fighters do the same damn thing.Comment
