That's a cop out, don't start using the fantasy fight excuse.

Let's call a spade a spade. Mayweather ducked Cotto at 147 and Pacquiao ducked Juan Diaz at 135.

Any boxing fans that can look at this issue from a objective perspective in the house?

Pacquiao did duck Juan Diaz i know the *******s dont like to hear it but it is the truth and anybody saying this would be a easy win for Pac is a moron. there is a reason why Freddy didnt want this fight Juan Diaz would have push Pac back and Pac cant fight on the back foot not saying Juan Diaz would have won the fight but David the bum Diaz was a joke fight this fight would have been better

Any fight would've been better than Diaz though. He was the epitome of a paper champ. Javier Castillejo was better, pound for pound

nah i don't think pac ducked diaz at all , IMO david diaz was a fight to test the waters at 135 lbs and had oscar not offered pac a fight at 147 lbs i think that pac would have stayed at lightweight and faced juan diaz sooner or later , and can the fans really complain he ducked diaz when he's proven himself against oscar , hatton , cotto and clottey ?

Yeah, also why did he duck mallignaggi or witter ar harris? Or come to think about it why did he duck all them thousands of fighters that dont belong in the ring with him? Great question! (sarcasm)

I agree. If De La Hoya wouldn't have offered Pacquiao the fight, I would give him the benefit of the doubt and say he would've have fought Diaz...

That said, it doesn't excuse the fact that he went after the weakest titleholder and fought Diaz when he was the Ring/lineal Champion just 5 pounds south. I'm not complaining though, it's calling a spade a spade.

it's not pac's fault that diaz lost to campbell. pacquiao did beat the weakest champ, but juan diaz wasn't even a champ ATM. he should have fought casamayor instead of david diaz
