Who cares? Are you kiding me? This is the biggest fight of our generation, it needs to happen. Pac realized this, thats why hes accepting Flyod additional "UNECESSARY 14 day cutoff OST". No reason for Flyod not to accept this fight!
If this doesnt get made, Flyod might as well retire for good and not come back to the boxing sport. This is a mans sport, no room for coward divas with too much drama.

Easy 40M against SSM who has a small fan base and is not a draw in the sport. Floyd would've made over 50M if the fight sold over 2M.

                  Easy 30+M against JMM.

Who can Manny fight and do numbers like Floyd?

Manny fought Cotto and made less than 10M after Arum took his cut.
How much did you get from those fights ? BRENDA !!!!!!!!!!! ...............HAHAHEHEHOHO

Comparing recent PPV fights is also pointless because we're talking apples to oranges when we compare a fight like Pacquiao-Clottey (an uncompetitive match-up on paper against a notoriously unentertaining and relatively unheralded fighter) to Mayweather-Mosley (a big step up for the undefeated Floyd against the always entertaining, likable and well-known Mosley). If you don't agree with me, just try imagining how different the PPV numbers for these fights might have been had it been Mayweather-Clottey or Pacquiao-Mosley. My gut tells me they'd probably be pretty similar (and maybe lower for both fights).

When we're talking about Floyd and Manny fighting, we are not talking about the individual fighters themselves drawing a crowd; we are talking about the match-up itself selling tickets. Every boxing fan is going to be watching this fight. Does it really matter who has the biggest drawing power when every boxing fan in the world is going to be paying attention to the fight? I don't think it does, and I don't think past PPV buys will speak at all to the selling ability of this fight. 50/50 is a fair split in my mind.

Let's hope this fight goes through, if not by November then at least for May.
good post, am with you, bro..

I think if both Mayweather and Pacquiao retired today, or if Mayweather walks away from the Pac fight, Pacquiao will come out on top looking like a boxing hero and Mayweather a huge underachiever.
