  • This is the same thing like the Mosley fight!! Doesnt everybody remeber that Schafer sent mayweather the contract and it took Mayweather forever to sign it. everybody saying mayweather doesnt want to fight Mosley and isnt gonna sign the contract because hes scared!?!?? THEN OUT OF NOWHERE, The contract gets signed and the fight is on.

Its preety simple guys. The World Cup was on this weekend so he didnt want to do it then, Allstar Game today so it doesnt want to do it today. TRUST ME The fight gets signed tommorow or thursday. Mayweather wants to be the center of attention so hes waiting for everything else to end. Allstar game is the last thing left today, so once thats over theres nothing else going on till football. Mayweather anouncment coming in the next 48 HOURS!!!

      • Lyle vs Marley on the undercard of Pacquiao vs Mayweather.

Those are the two guys that stand up and say who they are for.

I have never seen a fighter so opposed to ONE man in my life. Mayweather ducked without controversy one of the baddest men on earth til he got old and that was Mosley. Problem with Mayweather waiting on Pac to get old is Mayweather is OLDER than Pac haha

Mayweather has been so desperate to do something to discredit Pac. He found a crutch called DRUGS !! Actually it is a compliment to Pac and team to be accused of using steroids when actually not using them. I remember one guy who was clean out lifting those I knew were shooting up steroids and freaking them out. Its the same. Pac ain't using that stuff. He is just that good, and Roach is that good, and Mayweather deep in his heart knows this. He has done all he can and is in a terrible corner.

He was in a terrible corner with Mosley. He didn't want that fight ever but finally gave in. Fear was overcoming him , easy to see by the way he overly reacted using the F bombs on HBO 24/7. If he really knew he was a turn off and made 24/7 sickening he might have stopped the tirades.

The poor boy has so many insecurities that he is pulled from pillar to post. Its hard to know whats in him. He bawls like a baby when he beat up an old washed up great fighter, then claims greatness when he puts on a lackluster performance a sleeper if you will and taking the Oscar fight by one measly point. Haha

He has targeted one fighter and one only in his way to making the millions. His name is Pacman and this is the one man who can knock him out and they all know this. The have denigrated Pac, the whole Mayweather family retch with his name. His father knows his son can't win this fight.

Now its crunch time. Mayweather was hoping Pac wouldn't agree to all his demands but Pac is sick of this and ready to fight. Pac is resting and working for his people, while Mayweather is churning trying to figure out to the last end one more thing that would make it look like Pac is the cause of the fight not happening.

        OR

Mayweather thru his convoluted mind doesn't give a **** about ANYBODY, plus his followers and he is having fun wielding power using it as he pleases.

Either way Pac wins. Sound minds see thru the $h!T !!!!!!!

We don’t hang out together. I’m not on the promotional payroll.

Nor am I expecting Christmas cards this season from either Michigan or Vegas.

But if I really did have the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world’s ear, I can promise you one thing. I’d have a very simple message for him today.

And it’d go something like this:

“Floyd,” to borrow a phrase my mom used to use, “it’s time to **** or get off the pot.”

Admittedly, each time I heard Alice Fitzsimmons use those words, they were directed at the back of a car moving at what she viewed as less-than-optimal speed for the lane it was driving.

More often than not, it didn’t work. But somehow, it helped.

In this case, I don’t figure the end result will be much different.

I don’t pretend for a moment that Floyd or a member of his crew will read this and suddenly exclaim, “You know, that Lyle guy has got it right. Get Bob Arum on the phone. It’s time to sign a contract.”

It probably won’t happen. But it certainly should.

Because in this one sector of the gag-free speculation committee, each day that passes without an official thumbs-up from Arum, Richard Schaefer or the fighters themselves makes it less likely the thing happens at all – this year, next year or ever.

If what’s been reported is true and Mayweather’s sign-off is really the lone remaining obstacle, a time will soon come for Arum and Pacquiao to throw up their hands, say “we tried our best” and move on to more-willing quarry wandering the welterweight/junior middleweight plains. This is a ridiculously biased article. I say that from the perspective of a former journalist who never made any bones about getting both sides of a story or at least trying to tell both sides of a story. IF is the biggest word in the dictionary. It can be used in a thousand different ways. This clown of a columnist is once again only writing one side of the story. He did not say a word to the effect of "if Bob Arum is lying about the terms being agreed upon, then he is a bad person." He only said that about Mayweather. He is no different than the haters who post this same crap on the message boards on a daily basis.

I agree. The same could be said about most people on this message board.

Why didn't Manny sign the original contract that, according to Arum, said the exact damn thing as the one he presented to the Mayweather camp? Asking ****** questions like yours with no knowledge of the facts shows your ignorance.

Yeah, they agreed to a contract that is no longer on the table. The contract wasn't good enough for them a few months ago, but now they want the same contract when Floyd sold more than Manny.

Come talk to me when Manny accepts 60-40 split in favor for Floyd and mans up by taking OSDT with no cut off. Take the test if you have nothing to hide. Why is everyone else willing to take the test except for Manny?
If that's true, then why doesn't Floyd just come out say so publicly?

Why make videos on youtube talking about trivial stuff, instead of addressing the issue so we can move on, instead of LeBron James-ing it to the end

The man prefaced his comments by saying "If Manny did in fact agree to the terms then...". obviously he is stipulating that at this point no one really knows for sure including himself; however, all signs, rumors and reports, point to the fact that an agreement has been reached.

His story is balanced, he does take Floyd to task for sitting on the sidelines in silence, yet manages to afford him "all time great" status in the same breathe.

The only ones who find this article biased are the ones who are biased themselves, in their constant support of Mayweather irrespective of anything he does.

I agree completely. Not only has the World Cup been in the spotlight, but I'm betting Mayweather also wants to give some time to let the controversy surrounding LeBron James to die down as well. The only thing I disagree with is that I think it may take a bit longer than 48 hours to hear an announcement. I predict it'll be made official on Friday or Monday, with maybe some informal/off-hand mention of the fight being made on Thursday or Friday.
