My point was is Floyd used JMM to make a statement to team Pac. 1.) He wasn't going to deal with any catch-weight business ie. coming in at 146. 2.) He was going to take a opponent that had given Pac all he could handle and then some, and treat him like a red-headed step child between the ropes to show his skill level against a opponent that Pac wanted no more of. There where alot of checks and balances that were thought of in that match by team Mayweather.
I really think that this fight gets made, and I think that TR is sabotaging it by publicly giving Floyd a deadline to agree to the terms(which we don't know weither they are the same terms from January, or if they have been tweeked to reflect what has happened since the last negotiations).
Against Floyd he negated those intangibles, to many variables involved. Marquez had to hurdle two weight classes and looked nothing like his former self, that's a false comparison, on top of the fact that Mayweather came in over the contracted weight, stacked deck.
The comparisons should be made at 147, which is where this fight would be taking place, unfortunately with respect to Mayweather, aside from Mosley he doesn't have a Cotto, Margarito, Clottey or anyone else of stature to draw upon a fair comparison...specific to 147.Last edited by switchsouthpaw; 07-13-2010, 11:13 AM.

Yeah, they agreed to a contract that is no longer on the table. The contract wasn't good enough for them a few months ago, but now they want the same contract when Floyd sold more than Manny.
Come talk to me when Manny accepts 60-40 split in favor for Floyd and mans up by taking OSDT with no cut off. Take the test if you have nothing to hide. Why is everyone else willing to take the test except for Manny?

Pac's a bigger draw. they spent more then they have ever spent on the May vs Mosley PPV admitted by GBP's. Plus floyd fought Mosley someone who was considered to have a chance of winning. Also Mosley was former and current champ who fought the likes De La hoya, Vargas, Forrest, Mayorga and other former champs. They promoted it as a pick em fight. You clowns need to get off the nuts and realize it's fools like you that make Floyd think he can get more money and initially holding up the fight. I don't give a **** who's scared of who but right now all fingers point to Floyd and they kind of have sice all this **** started.

FLOYD needs to MAN up and sign the PAPERS!
FLOYD is ruining his legacy by not taking this fight. He's young, not old like Mosley, FLOYD is in his prime (better boxing skills than before), has a chance to show the world he can beat PAC, has a chance to break PPV buys, if not one of the highest. No REASON NOT TO FIGHT! Sign!!!
